Buffet: 15 bucks, not a big deal really, but once you start digging in, it was terrible. Very small amount to actually choose from, but the whole time I was wondering why is everything so stale, and Im pretty sure some of the food was older than I am. Finding out, I was seated after they closed the buffet (still 2 hours until store close), and since I was picking on the scraps, they were going to wait while I did that to pack it. Tried nearly 4 plates, pushing through the food, honestly just chalking it up to terrible food and just not coming back, I fixed up on a majority of rice, and in the end just grabbed the iced shrimp, seeing that at least it couldnt be spoiled if it was under ice. Not until I was leaving~ I found out the buffet was closed the whole time, the food was just getting cold. I paid.. then as I was almost to my car decided to go back in to just speak my mind, that that was bull to let a customer, for 15 bucks, pick up the scraps of what seems to be already spoiled food. One of the larger white women in the back tried to blame the server, and I informed them the person who sat me sent me to the buffet. The Asian lady was polite, she offered a refund, and I left a tip for the server in cash. At this point, the larger white one from the back came up saying I just wanted a free meal, and was cursing at me. Well, I didnt react well, didnt go screaming or anything but I did say choice words back. In the beginning I was annoyed, and though displaying my unhappiness, I was not freaking out on anyone. This woman was inappropriate. I would not have left a rating (or a story) after this, until this woman came running her sock to a customer. I do no not recommend going to this place if you see it.

Like the Buffett , only thing is about that is I live 30-45 min away on a good day! I hate ordering from a menu because your constrained. The buffet allows you at least to sample a bunch of stuff or just eat your fav food their. It varies for me every day. Also it sucks for take out ( my distance away) I can order it when one of my family members is in ellsworth. I lover Chinese food. Just some of it makes me Ill ( CRAB RANGOON) UGHHH but love the wings, beef fried rice, sweet n sour chicken and a bunch of other stuFF and oh yeah the egg rolls ( not the shrimp ones) they should start the buffet on the days they have them to start earlier . If your in ellsworth and from out of town I highly suggest eating their. Its a good atmosphere (;if you dont have 2 wait 4 a table) but the buffet is the way to go so you can sample everything. If I get take out its always the pu-pu platter for 2 and an extra side of beef fried rice cuz Chinese is excellent leftovers and easily reheated unlike McDonalds, BK etc but Chinese you can eat , fridge, reheat, fridge, reheat lol. ( only reheat what Im eating not all of it at once lol. Their are a few other oriental restraunts, in Ellsworth but this one has lasted the longest. Also the parking lot is usualy packed Friday,Sat,Sun and you will most likely be parking out in the back 40. So if you intend to hit China Hill up for its Buffet ide suggest arriving early or you will be sitting in the front untill a booth or take opens up and people tend to gab , so they sit their after they eat and waste 30-45 min for a family reunion! So go early and try off peak hours if you dont care if you get the buffet etc So go n eat some Chinese!:. Its good or least was last time I ate their

Myself and my family frequent China Hill regularly. We even hold most family birthday parties and other celebrations at this location. I have always been very pleased with them until the last two functions we have held there. The waitress we have had both times paid little to no attention to the needs of 20 plus guests and was very rude. We got most everything we needed ourselves, including water, clearing our plates and those that chose to have drinks had to go into the lounge to get service. The waitress was downright rude and seemed as though she was being bothered. As we were leaving tonight I over heard our waitress and another one of the waitresses (which were standing by the dining area) talking about our group. They were saying how she didnt like our big party and that she had to do things for us and that if we ever came there again that she would make sure she did not have to wait on us. The other waitress, who had nothing to do with us, also said she did not think that she would wait on us either and would make sure she did not get us as a party if we came in again. I made sure to say something to the OWNER on my way out and she had nothing to say. I feel as though with as much money that we spent tonight and in the past we should have gotten much better service and at least an apology from the owner. We frequent there so often we are all on a first name basis. I am beyond disappointed with the service and treatment that we received tonight.

Pretty basic, Id have to say. Food not amazing. A tour bus arrived just about the time I did...40-45 guests decinded on the place. Staff went into panic mode and ignored me as I was waiting to be seated. All in all, not amazing... service was about average...the surroundings need cleaning and a major update. China Hill is a disappointment...dont bother with this Ellsworth hole.

I love China Hill, best place to eat. Every time I am in there they are always busy with happy customers. The food is wonderful. The price is right and you wont be disappointed. Service was great I couldnt be any happier, what would we do without china hill? Its nice to have a variety of food to choose from in Ellsworth, plus you can get take out! Very satisfied!!

Very disappointing experience tonight. Worst waitress I have ever had, rude, impatient, not very helpful and just a downright snot. Called manager over and waitress was still rude to me. I asked the manager how she lets the staff treat customers that way and she said" I just try to keep the peace". They should both be replaced. Will not be going back anytime soon.

Its very average at best. We like a few items, so we get take out once in a while. The annoying thing is, most orders come with white rice and if you want stir fried rice, you have to order a whole dish rather than paying to upgrade. If you are from out of town, wait until you go home to get Chinese and eat at one of the other great restaurants in the area.

A total waste of $34, we could have gone to a place with a MUCH larger buffett for less than $20 anywhere else. The food was awful and made us sick after a small plate. There were very few options and the only thing that we found good were the chips made from the won ton wraps. The service was good, but will never eat at this place again.
