I just moved to the area (West Monroe) and Im disabled, and use a service dog to manage my disability so that I can function as much as possible like a non-disabled person. When I walked into the restaurant, the woman that worked there was on the phone and immediately started to tell me my dog (who was vested, though not legally required I do it to help prevent access issues) was not allowed. I said "service dog" and pointed to his vest. She told the person on the phone she needed to go and would call them back later and then went to take my order. After messing up my order several times before paying, and my having to correct her, I finally paid and started to sit down and wait. She told me, repeatedly, she could bring my order outside for me. I said I was ok. She then asked if I had a vehicle I could go sit in. I told her that it was hot outside (NE Louisiana, this time of year, YEAH! HOT!) and I was going to wait inside in the a/c. Not a few minutes later my food was ready, the person who was there before me, their food was not done before mine, as it should have been. My noodles of my food were not cooked all the way through. My bag did not include my receipt, no napkins, and no fortune cookies.. ALL places of business need to be educated that services dogs are legally allowed access, and we, the disabled person, have the right to be treated like everyone else! Im horrified that the person before me was forced to wait for my uncooked food to be prepared before mine, simply because I assume, they wanted to rush me out of their restaurant. Whats sad, is Im used to businesses treating me like this, doesnt make it right, not at all, but Im used to it. Stefani and service dog, Iorek.

My husband has been bragging about this place for over a year. I now know why. The food is amazing! We called in our order and it was ready within 20 minutes. It was so hot when we arrived that we struggled to hold it in the car. There was enough for two meals and it still tasted delicious after reheating. This was better than any Chinese Ive had before and the price was great!

When you want Chinese food, but dont want the buffet. Orders are made fresh and quickly. You can call in your order or order at the restaurant and its usually ready to go in 10-15 minutes. Ive eaten here several times over the years, and I am always happy with the food and the service.

Best chinese food in northern LA, hands down. Fast and easy takeout, which the restaurant is obviously suited for considering there are 2 small tables in the dining area with very little space. Call ahead, show up 10 mins later to fresh food ready for taking.

If you have had gastric sleeve surgery dont eat here. tried explaining to them all I wanted to do was fix a To go plate and eat my 4 ounces and take the rest with me. They wouldnt even listen at all. I use to eat here 3 or 4 times a week before surgery.

Ive eaten here frequently over the last 10 years and my claim is that Eastern Chinese Resturant is the best Chinese resturant in Monroe & WM. Price is very moderate. Service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended.
