I ate here with a party of 5. First, the food was pretty good New Orleans style. I was really happy with the food. Now the service is where your meal typically comes together to either be a pleasant experience, or opposite to some varying degree of unpleasantness. We sat upstairs/outside because it was quite nice weather out. But due to somewhat remote location it seems that the wait staff more easily "forgot" about us. We werent the only table, as there were 1-2 more during our time at the restaurant. So Ill just list my complaints: Minimal attention - which caused us to have to fetch our own utensils, drink refills, and anything else the wait staff is supposed to provide patrons with. In the end, there are too many other similar restaurants which dont have any issues. Ill just go someplace else next time.

My girlfriend and I are quite pleased with our experience at this restaurant. It was both of our first experience with New Orleans cuisine, we ordered a shrimp and a fried gator poboy. They were both delicious and filling. We requested romulad sauce to go on our sandwiches, and were told that it was not available. Upon seeing our disappointment one of the staff promptly and happily whipped us up a batch from scratch on the spot. We will definitely be returning to this eatery the next time we come to New Orleans. We were more than pleased with the service, the atmosphere, the food and the prices.

Yesterday I treated my son to lunch. I was surprisingly disappointed since I have heard nothing but good things about the food. The roast beef po by was disgusting. The meat look old, the gravy was didnt look like gravy. It took 45 minutes to get our food & i had to send his back & let him eat my crawfish nachos. The wait staff was nice but it did take a little long to get refills. I did tip bc Ive been a waitress before so i kno ppl live off tips, but I will not be returning.

Our experience at NOLA was great. The char oysters were delicious. The grilled shrimp on my ceaser salad were perfect, excellent flavor and grilled just right. The best was Melissa our server, she was very helpful with the wonderful extensive menu choices. She was professional yet friendly. With such excellent service and delicious food I completely enjoyed everything at lunch. I recommend NOLA GRILL to everyone. Ask for Melissa she is fantastic! Thank you.

I was very disappointed. The seafood platter was the skimpiest Ive ever seen. It had 4 small shrimp, 4 small pieces of oysters (mostly batter), 3 index finger width and length pieces or should I say very small extremely narrow strips of fish. There were plenty of fries, 2 onion rings, 4 hush puppies and french bread. Oysters had no flavor. It cost $21.99!

The absolute worst eating experience ever. Poor service, terrible food. Gator bites were rubbery, gumbo was cold (waitress told us that their microwave was not heating properly), took 2 hours to get our food, In a party of 7, there was not one good plate of food. Two of our friends got sick on the way home. We had to pull over for bathroom runs.

My mother and I ate here after shopping at the mall. Service was excellent. Our server Alicia was very attentive and she was very knowledgeable about the menu. Food was absolutely delicious and came out fresh and hot with very little wait time. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area, whether they are locals or tourists.

The place is nice looking. Gumbo was OK. Had $5.99 PO boy special advertised but wouldnt honor it. Ordered the catfish. It came with a HUGE roll, tomatoes, and THREE catfish nuggets. I told my server the portion was Really small.. no apology, no explanation, no manager response. I was HORRIBLY disappointed. I have picture posted too.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and staff went far above normal to accommodate the patrons . Grilled Redfish was filling. The Crayfish Etouffee was most heavenly! First time trying alligator, nuggets, like chewy pork. Wish they would of had strips as a dinner item. Wish I had ordered the fried crayfish plater , seen on way out...

I did not like the oily crab cakes. It messed up my appetite for the entree which I couldnt eat because of the greasy crab cake appetizers. When I talked to them about it the management handled the situation very unprofessionally. They made me pay for food I couldnt eat. I will never eat or recommend Nola in Slidell.

We ordered take out and when we got home we realizes they messed up our order. So we called back and told them. They got me the original food alright...along with black hair mixed in my corn & crab bisque!!!! I USE to love this place BUT NEVER AGAIN!!!!! THEYRE MUCH BETTER PLACES TO CHOOSE FROM TO EAT!

Owner seems to truly care about guest experiences. My first visit was not so great but the owner reached out and took care of it. He made me feel like a valued customer and also guaranteed I will return. This is a great place to eat the food is good and the atmosphere is fantastic.

Although the waitress was really nice the oysters were not what I thought they would be they were HORRIBLE. My boyfriend ordered some chicken tenders they were very soft and had no crunch to them. Very unenjoyable!!!!!!!!! What we received wasnt what we expected.

I had the crawfish wrap for lunch, it was delicious. Staff was very nice and were hustling about getting things done, even though the place was only 1/4 full. This is how you can tell if you are in a serious restaurant, just observe the staff.

The crawfish were ok but the service was extremely slow and our order wasnt correct when we first got it. It took 30 mins for our drinks and the kitchen didnt look very clean. Maybe it was a bad day but we didnt enjoy it at all.

Good food, good prices and excellent service! The one thing that Id like to mention that wasnt the best was the portion sizes. I had the seafood pasta and my husband had loaded BBQ chicken with jambalaya and red beans.

Server was nice but food is trash. They use old grease and no seasoning. In addition they fry all of their food in the same grease (fries, fish, shrimp, etc.). Fish looks like chicken b/c they dont use good batter.

Food was good, but expensive. Service was horrible: we sat outside upstairs and it seemed like the waiters were too lazy to walk up the stairs since downstairs was empty. So over all not worth it. Wont be back.

The food was fantastic and our waitress Maria rocked we had 16 people and she had it under control! The jazz playing in the background was amazing to listen to as we sat outside on the top balcony.

Fried pickles were outstanding, kicked up a notch with pepper jack cheese topping. Very good. Blackened catfish and red beans and rice were really good as expected from a Southern La local joint.

Great food time and time again. One of the best restraunts in Slidell. Bring people here from out of town and the next time they visit our guests say they have to eat here before returning home.
