My son had a baseball game in St. Jacob so we decided to stop in for the first time for dinner. Were not from St. Jacob so we stopped in completely on a whim and with low expectations. We were pleasantly surprised! The menu had a lot of great options. My youngest was excited they had spaghetti on the kids menu in addition to the general standby options of chicken strips, hamburgers, etc. Food came out hot and perfect and we all really liked what we ordered. My ham steak was great (an unexpected choice) and the mac and cheese was very good. While the food was great, the service was fantastic and will make us probably make the drive to St. Jacob to eat there again. A man came around and chatted up our kids, asked how we were doing and even refilled some drinks. I would assume he was the owner. It was nice to see someone up and about, interacting with customers and helping out his wait staff.

Good food, good service. They need to back off of the salt in the fried chicken coating though--it was REALLY salty--although in all fairness it is hard to gauge the amount of salt fried chicken requires--but theres a salt shaker on the table so you dont have to kill it in the kitchen. Asparagus was also good. Chicken needed to be cooked longer, it wasnt quite done but it was still good and VERY big pieces (why it was underdone) and cooked to order was worth the wait, but another 2-3 minutes in the fryer would have made ALL the difference.

An absolutely awesome little gem of a bar in the sleepy little village of St. Jacob, this is the right place to have a pint or five. The service is always remarkably friendly, and the food and drink has never been less than excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and very welcoming, and if you stop by on a Friday night (or Saturday if you can sweet talk the owner), karaoke night is great fun! My personal go-to of a bar, I dont see myself ceasing to do business with this great establishment any time soon.

Great food menu and large beer selection. The full menu is available until 8 PM and the bar menu has good options for pizza and appatizers until close. The pizza and wings were great but well be back for the Friday fish fry. There is a nice game room separate from the bar and dining area that well check out on our next visit. Friendly and fast service. Restaurant and restrooms are very clean.

Food was fantastic. So was the service. Nothing can beat the banter. Felt like I was part of the Lucky Rooster community. Loved the atmosphere and the decor, just couldnt beat it. Owner chatted with us and made us feel welcome. Cock a doodle do go to this restaurant!

They have a wide variety of options, what we got tasted delicious. I HIGHLY recommend the bacon wrapped jalapenos and the chicken strip basket is a large portion, very filling! If youre in the area its well worth checking out! We will be back!
