Becoming Love
The were very fast at getting the food out to us which was nice. Food was ok. But the environment was a little bit to wild for my taste. It was not the employees; they were awesome! It was the customers that were the problem. It seems to be a place that teenagers like to hangout at. It was EXTREMELY NOISY! We could not even hardly hear what our waitress was saying, because the customers were so loud! Me & my husband didnt hardly talk to each other the entire time we was there, because we did not want to have to scream over everyone else! I didnt like that. . . Too much craziness & obnoxious customers for my taste. We wont go back. There are plenty of other Mexican style restaurants WITHOUT all the noise & craziness. The food was not worth all that. . . .But the employees are great! lol

The food was decent, but that does not make up for the disgusting bartender who found it necessary to sexually harass all the female waitresses and then proceed to offer commentary to his fellow waiters (who seemed to have nothing to do but hang out at the bar listening to him) about things I wont repeat. Ive been to the La Caretta in Hammond. It was a hang out for us in college, but I will never, ever bring my daughters back to the one in Denham Springs. It is vastly unsafe, in my opinion, for women to be there.

Of the two in BR, I prefer the one downtown. The food here is OK, but often things turn out a little burnt or just not quite as good. Not a fan of the shredded chicken at either place, but other things arent too bad. The service is pretty good, although the set up makes it get pretty loud if many people are in there.

Even though I found being called a gringo hilarious and laughed my butt off at the menu alone, the food sucked. And I love me some Mexican food. I really dont have a comment on the service. Meh. I imagine the people rating this place highly probably like the sports bar atmosphere of the place. Not for me.

Disgusting, overpriced food. Dont waste your time going here. I paid $10 for a salad that was missing ingredients that were listed on the menu, the salad dressing was so digusting, and the grilled chicken tasted like it was bad. Asked for a refund and didnt get it.

I love the food and margaritas are soo good. Its funny how the people with bad reviews dont put there info. That must mean you visit them all the time. That is the reason you dont want to show your face. Haha your telling on yourself.

Rude staff. They got orders wrong. Took 10 minutes on hold to finally place a Togo order. They argue about getting incorrect order. Bad service. Go to another Mexican where food is fresher, portions larger and staff nicer.

This place kills it! If you live in LP and get sick of driving into BR for good Mexican and margs, try this place! Good prices and damned good food. The Patron enchiladas rock, and so do the nachos (get the pulled pork)!

The food at La Carreta is great and the service is even better! The restaurant is also very clean and family friendly! The waitstaff is always very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Great place to eat!

Food is terrible. The chicken quesadilla consisted of throwing a few shreds of cheese and canned chicken on a store bought tortilla and putting it in the microwave. I could do that at home!
