Hands down, best philly cheesesteak sandwich Ive ever had, and that includes my trip to Philadelphia! My favorite is the cajun cheesesteak sandwich, but the original is great too. They take a nice cut of steak and slice it up right on the grill. I moved away from Baton Rouge, but I try to stop by here anytime Im in town. Their hours of operation can be somewhat difficult (open until 7pm weekdays and till 3pm saturdays), but still worth it. Highly recommend this little-known place.

I have been eating at South of Philly cheesesteaks for many years and have thoroughly enjoyed it, so I had reservations when I saw this place because it looked very generic from the outside. However, after trying their food I can honestly say that I think this is now my favorite Philly cheesesteak place in all of Baton Rouge. All the food was made fresh to order, piping hot, very delicious, and very friendly staff.

the food is SO GOOD!!!! the staff is SO NICE!!! I can go on and on...i have driven by many many times but decided to come in and check it out. The cheese steak (The Cajun) was so juicy (not dried out!!!) and the wrap (Chipotle Turkey Club) was seasoned just perfectly! the sizes are good. I cant wait until my next visit! You should definitely check this spot out! ❤

Me and my wife are in town for the LSU football game and we found this place its awesome the service is great I just met the owners mother and father great people the store doesnt open till 10:30 and its 10 and he invited me and my wife in to sit down until the food got ready if youre ever in Baton Rouge please stop by here the food is awesome the service is great

Best cheesesteak place in Louisiana! And believe me, Ive tried all the others for miles... Im from Philly, and this is the real deal. Not to mention, the nicest people, like family! Been eating here since they opened, and I regularly travel 5-6 miles for my hometown fix. I will not buy a cheesesteak anywhere else in Louisiana...

I will say that when the skinny guy with the attitude problem that cooks the food is there my food is never right, he doesnt drain the grease and the meat and fries taste terrible. If the older lady is there (i think shes the owner) my food is usually right but anyway just thought id pass this along.

Amazing food. Comes out very hot and quick. A must eat if you love cheese and steak and you want it done right but in a simple and good way. Great choices in different types of food items. PS. If the cheese steak wasnt good enough the fries will knock tour socks off.

There are a handful of philly cheese steak places in Baton Rouge but none of them do it as well as Philly Me Up. Theyre always hot and the onion rings are amazing. You wont be disappointed!
