This place probably has to be my favorite place to get pizza. You get a hippy vibe when you walk in with all the retro decor and the mushroom characters on the walls, but the pizza is very mainstream. Their menu has plenty of options to please any individual from hummus to chese bread to caprese salad. They have plain ole pepperoni pizza or anything you can dream up; barbecue pizza and even pizza with greens. The ingredients are all natural and dont leave you feeling sluggish like if you would have after going to pizza hut or dominos. They show many sports on their tvs and even turn up the volume if there is a local game on. One night we went and they were playing MasterChef because a local girl was competing, so they are really cool with supporting anything here in BR. Im not a huge drinker, but they have a very nice selection of draft beers that swings far from the basic, boring domestic. There is also a stand up cooler of bottles to choose from. They offer a full bar, however their signature shroom tea is the best; think raspberry long island. YUM! They have drink specials regularly, but you will have to check their website since I just usually go for the food.

Asked for a WELL DONE cooked burger. After it was delivered, I bit into the burger, and it was bright RED inside and basically RAW all in the inside. GROSS! Had to put it in the oven and cook it thoroughly before I could eat it. On top of that the person quoted me the wrong price over the phone so when did the delivery guy showed up, I had to pay extra money because its turns out the idiot over the phone didnt add the delivery charge to my order, nor the tax! I definitely will not be ordering from this place again.

2 stars for pizza which you cant screw up. However, the service was non-existent and rude. Waited about 20 minutes to ask for ranch(wasnt busy, servers were just talking amongst themselves and giggling). When I paid my waitress never brought back the $5+ of change! Asked for it and she only brought me $3! Having been thoroughly fed up I left, even left a dollar on a $20 bill. So she ended up with $3 in her pocket! I wouldve tipped $5 if she didnt try to rob me! Never going back.

It all depends why youre going there... When its for a club night, careful... It gets packed. Too many people, not much space, and DEFINITELY not enough bartenders. Matter of fact, my tab is still open. The bartenders were too busy with dealing with everybody else and their mothers, trying to get them drinks. Hopefully, Ill be able to call them to close that up while they close to make sure Im not gyped...

The pizza alone is worth 5 stars! Tonight they messed up my order and had me waiting over an hour for a call in Togo. The manager explained what happened, didnt give me any bs excuses and was very apologetic. When my order was ready he brought it to me. Along with a gift card for the next time. Good food and customer service. Thanks mellow!

Our favorite pizza in Baton Rouge is the Holy Shitake. This is a pizza place so service is what you expect. I took away one star because while the food is the same as other Mellow Mushrooms, the staff isnt as funky. Also, its a picky point, but, we dont like the new menus. Who really wants to know how many calories are in their pizza.

Overrated. Food was ok, not great. Service was below average. We had a large group and told the manager a week in advance that we would be their and they were still not adequately prepared for our group service wise. Food orders were screwed up, checks were screwed up, the restaurant was cold. Not a good experience.

Food was good, but this location is not as laid back and chill as other Mellow Mushroom locations. I realize this is due to the proximity to LSU, but it had more of a club feel than anything else. The volume of the music made it hard to carry on conversations with others at our table.

Pretty okay. Kinda overkill on the psychedelic mushroom shtick, and I am not offended by drug humor. The pizza is mediocre to good, but worth having over and over. They have a hopping nightlife too with drink specials, sometimes a live band, and frat boys galore.

every visit to mellow mushroom you think the servers are hiding under the mushrooms. service is slow, a great way to waste time. most every time if not every time, they have to try to make my order twice cause the dont write it down

Not your typical pizza joint - the Mellow Mushroom is a great place to eat with really good music. I love this place so much my wife gave me a gift card for it on Valentines day - now that was sweet!

The place was overcrowded so the waiters were slow. However, the pizza was better than average. They have few dessert options too - I liked the brownie but not the root beer float.

The food is good and its nice that they have vegan cheese. This is one of the few places in the area where you can get something vegan without too many changes.
