This is my favorite restaurant. The service is outstanding and the buffet is the absolute best! They have a lot of great vegetarian options if you dont eat meat. Whatever you get, try some raita with your dish because it is amazing and makes everything so CREAMY!!! I basically drizzle my entire meal with the stuff. Their dessert options are also very good. They have a carrot based desert with raisins that is delicious and of course sweet balls in syrup! They also sometimes have orange things that look kinda like pretzels that are out of this world. They change the items on the buffet daily and have a facebook page where they list the days menu. They almost always have a spinach based dish and Chicken Tikka Masala which are my favorites so Im never disappointed. When you order food from the menu it doesnt always taste the same as it does on the buffet. Personally, I prefer the taste of the food from the buffet because it seems to be more mild and creamy. The prices are a little high, but each entree is enough for two people. There are multiple naan selections that arent on the buffet, try the garlic or Peshwari naan which is a sweet bread. I would go much more often if I could afford it, I hope management will start handing out customer loyalty cards like some Indian restaurants in Lexington do that way I can eventually earn a free buffet for going more often!

My wife and I didnt eat here for a while because of some negative reviews, and are now regretting the decision to wait. The food was rich and savory, as is expected in an Indian restaurant. They vary the heat to the local flavor though, as most Americans tend to avoid food that leaves chemical burns. My wife has a lower tolerance for spicy food than I do and she got along just fine here. I ordered spicy food, and was not disappointed, although I dont expect atomic heat in any restaurant stateside. Note all the negative reviews are from Indians. If you want truly authentic food, go back to Mumbai or Calcutta. These guys do the best possible with what is available to them. Service was timely, wait staff was polite, prices werent what Id call cheap but for a nice sit-down, they were reasonable. The facilities were clean, and the atmosphere was laid back. I would recommend this place any given day.

I have no idea why people dont eat here more. Its hardly ever crowded. There is a buffet (which I highly recommend) everyday day until 2:30, and 3 on the weekends, which has common everyday foods and always new things so you can try new Indian foods without buying it and not sure it you like it. There are not a lot of spicy things on the bar so you dont have to worry about curry being too hot the chicken marsala is fabulous. Amazing. Delicious. Nan bread is the literal best. Eat it plain or dip it in everything, its good all around. Honestly, everyone should give this place a try, just once. Also the customer service here is the BEST Ive ever experienced ever. They are all so friendly and nice. Love this place, love the food.

I have never had a better food experience than Masala. The employees are super-friendly and their service is superb. I have been to Masala for dozen times and I am still not done! The lunch is a buffet, which might be a better choice for many people as you could try all the food available on the menu. Although there is no buffet during the dinner, it is enough to bring back food for one more meal. The atmosphere at Masala is fabulous with unique taste of music. Chicken-Makhni is my favorite and I get it every time I go for dinner. Just try this place, you will fall in love. Great place to satisfy your desire for the best food, authentic Indian food at low price compared to other places I have been to (about $9 for the lunch).

Very nice decorum and atmosphere. We arrived 1 hour before closing and were the last 2 patrons and there was no rush or problem and the food was top quality even right at closing. Generous rice serving and the goat, lamb, and chicken were lean and generous portions served as well. The lamb naan will have you wishing you bought extra to go. Wife ordered her curry goat mild, and it was mild. My Tandoori mixed grill I ordered Indian style hot, and it was hot enough but not punishing hot. We will try to make it for the lunch buffet. Must try many other menu items too.

Loved this! Arrived about 6:30 p.m. Has been open 3 months. Staff VERY friendly & efficient. We are traveling & this was such a great change from the tired fare of fast food, pizza, steak or breakfast food. My husband & I were so glad we stopped. The food was delicious & you can make it as spicy or mild as you want. My husband eats anything, I have a severe egg allergy. Their menu is very accommodating. Wish we could eat here every week!

Masala is a great place to have authentic Indian food. I go there often for their lunch buffets which cost $8.99 and this means that I get to eat food from home at such an affordable price. I highly recommend the Chicken Tikka, the Naan and the Kheer (Rice Pudding). They also have the delicious Mango Lassi, in case you are looking for recommendations for a drink. For those over 21, they have also got a well-stocked bar.

there was a lot of buzz about masala in lexington so i decided to go there last friday . i was stunned by the murals and all the interior work. the restaurant was so busy i waited 20-25 mintues to get seated. i ordered chicken tikka masala and my girl friend ordered lamb vinaloo , as soon we tasted the first bite we understood the buzz. we were very happy with our experience and come back again and again.

I never had Indian food until I went to this restaurant, great food! My family and I try to go weekly now. Reasonable prices. Cant wait to try the lunch buffet this weekend, my husband has tried it and he said it was so good and a great price. He has never had Indian food either before this restaurant and now he goes multiple times per week for his lunch break.

We had been to masala for dinner a couple of days back. The buffet was pathetic.the samosa had fungus inside...(it was most probably picked up from the frozen samosa pack that had expired long ago)...the veggies, rice and sweet too were not fresh at all...it was a terrible experience and I wont ever visit this restaurant again...

Stopped here while on our way to Cumberland falls. Food was tasty but not spicy. Good for people who likes less spice. People loving spicy Indian food will be disappointed. Karahi chicken was good, dont miss it. Price is very low for the quality of the food severed. Kudos to the management.

Moved from Pittsburgh and thought we wouldnt find good Indian food....well, pleasantly surprised!!! The people are warm and the food is great. The lunch buffet is different everyday with an array of vegetarian and meat dishes. Will definitely be back even though we live an hour away.

This restaurant is somewhat dicey in the quality of food and service you may receive. In the past, I have had great experiences at Masala but this past visit there was a dead bug in my meal from the buffet. They gave us half off our meal. The experience in general is worth the cost!
