Ive eaten regularly at the Farm Boy since it first opened in either the late 60s or early 70s. Its down-home comfort food. Dont expect anything fancy, just well-prepared diner fare. My favorite is the Catfish dinner. The prices are fairly reasonable. The service can either be really good or if youre unlucky to get one of the more cantankerous waitresses, really mediocre. Its really one of the only remaining older restaurants that has not changed much in the 40 or so years theyve been around. Their owners are hard-working people who really do seem to make an effort to put forth their best. Very typical small town southern atmosphere. Smoke-free. Children Menus. Oh, by the way, the Iced Tea is usually really fresh!

Ive been going to eat here for years and I always get the burger. Ive noticed the burgers are very inconsistent. One day its good and the next its horrible. The burger tonight again was horrible so I broke it up to give to my dog and as I was about to give it to her I noticed that there was white sticky mucus all through the inside of the burger. I wouldnt even give it to my dog and I got sick once I got home from only eating 3 bites of it. Ive never left a bad review on the Internet before but this time just couldnt be avoided. I was a major fan of farm boy but after this itll be hard to go back.

I grew up most of my life in Morgantown and the Farm Boy restaurant was a staple of in the community through my childhood. Whether it was the catfish dinners or a wimpie burger I was hungry for, the Farm Boy always delivered. Best dessert choice? Either a strawberry milkshake or a huge slice of coconut creme pie that used to be made from scratch by Illene. Dont think she makes pies for the restaurant anymore, but I can still attest to the best strawberry milkshake as we drove an hour out of our way yesterday to stop in for lunch and get my kids some milkshakes for the road.

Service is just okay nothing special and the all you can eat $6.99 catfish/fish is like rubber sometimes. The farmboy burger is in my opinion probably the best thing Ive had from there. Edit:: I had to give it 1 more star. Service is better. However the catfish is still not that great. Its missing something. Sometimes its good but most time its not that great. Very inconsistent.

Food was good but the waitress basically thru our plates at us an does not have the personality to be working with the public had to tell her several times to bring things to us she never not once brought something a refill without us asking for it no tip for you

This is not much. I have to travel through this area on occasion but I have learned to avoid this restaurant. Was very disappointed because it seemed to be busy with many locals. There are not many choices in Morgantown.

I didnt like anything about it..home cooked meals is an understatement its frozen and out of a can..maybe their hamburgers are good..but I have eat there several times an its not good at all..
