Taj Palace is our go to Indian restaurant. Even after we moved to Indiana we continue to make the trek here to enjoy the wonderful cuisine as often as we can. The food is devine, they are not afraid to make the food as spicy as you like, the service is prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date night or a family gathering. They also do carry out which we occasionally do on a movie night at home and they do a wonderful job of carefully boxing their food up. Even after the 35 minute drive home everything is wonderfully hot and enjoyable. If youre considering going here I strongly recommend it.

Weve been going to Taj Palace since it opened -- before, actually, since we were regulars at both previous locations when it went under the name India Palace (same management, though). The food here is consistently great. The lunch buffet is perhaps not the most extensive Ive encountered, but its always very good. The a la carte dinner menu is where the food here really shines. Ive never had an entree, appetizer, side or dessert here that was not excellent. The atmosphere is pleasant but not fancy. They have accommodated large groups for us without difficulty, and the place is quiet enough for good conversation.

Excellent place to dine. Had a feel of having food in a Multicusine Restaurant in India. Foods are neatly arranged. Amibance is too good. Loved the soft Rotis, All veggies , Chicken Pakkora, Chicken Tandoori, Fresh Jamoons , Mango Pudding. All foods are very fresh. I am a Fan of Non-Veg , but here i loved all veggies and then i can vote for Non-veg. (Both are cooked well) I have to been to couple of Indian Restaurants in USA out of those Next to Brij Mohan I like Taj Palace a lot. Only thing that I didnt like was Fish Pakkora. Smell was something odd. Over All I had Yummy Yummy Yummy lunch.

We have enjoyed eating here maybe a dozen times. They provide the finest quality food. The service is very attentive and friendly. They have a large selection of curries including vegetarian options. The dining area is spacious and comfortable with typical decoration for a "nice" Indian restaurant. They have a very large selection of amazing Wines and Indian Beers too. This is in my opinion the best Indian restaurants in Louisville, KY.

As I met my friend after 8 years we went there and had nice time. We had good time there and spent around 2 hours there. Though it is a traditional North Indian restaurant they satisfy you with their different spice levels. Just mention the spice level you need and you want south style or North Indian style, thats it they will take care of it and satisfy you with their extremely delicious food

This is my favorite restaurant and the best Indian dinner in Louisville. We eat here almost every week and always look forward to going because the food is delicious, the staff is very friendly, and they arent stingy with the rice like Shalimar. If youre looking for something to try, my favorite is the malai kofta. Also check valpak because they almost always have a coupon.

We have had good service and food here before. However, we visited last night and were seated, but could never get anyone to take our drink order, or to discuss food choices. They were not busy at 7PM on a Saturday night. After 25 minutes we got up and left, and nobody even noticed. The staff seemed more concerned with playing on their cell phones.

I got a groupon for this place and was overcharged. I shouldve taken a closer look but figured the person was doing the math correctly since he took my phone to see what groupon I had so he could write down the number. Service was OK, food was great, but not worth being charged $10 over.

The food was fabulous! I was greeted by a very cutie Indian women with a huge smile and it just got better after that. atmosphere was relaxed lights dim and soothing although I did not eat the buffet it was large and could tell it was all very fresh. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I have been going here now for over a year and I am very pleased every time! The food is always so good and well-stocked. The waitresses are always on top of things...I have never been disappointed. The restaurant itself is also a nice, casual atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

The Afghani Chicken in particular is fantastic, though even medium can be a little hot for those who dont enjoy spicy food. The staff is friendly, they do a quiet but healthy takeout business too. It doesnt look like much from the outside, but inside it is spacious and clean.

First of all, the ambience is good, but the food is ok and not that great or even comes close to what authentic Indian food tastes like. If people really wants to eat authentic Indian food in around Louisville then either go to Dakshin restaurant or Bombay Grill.

Some of the waitresses are very attentive and active while the others are very slow. The cocktails are very bad. The appetizers arrived after 25 mins (only two) and taste was ok. Would visit only when I dont have other options.

I would eat here every day if I could! If youve been looking to try Indian food, what better way to get to know what you like than a buffet? From meats to vegetarian dishes, and several deserts, theres something for everyone!

The food is excellent. We go about once a month and usually do carryout. Our kids go nuts over the food and usually ask us multiple times a month if we can go! I highly recommend it and the staff are friendly and courteous.

Love this place! Never disppointed - we have masala chai tea w/ our meal. Did the lunch buffet today so we could try new dishes. Very budget friendly. AND There are usually coupons available on PinPoint Perks or Groupon.

Looks like the Chef has cooked something for the first time !! We were 15 members and have ordered 10 dishes including veg and non-veg. The only dish which was Good was Raita.
