Dont Judge a Book by its Cover!! The exterior is very bland and uninviting; upon entering we were still a bit skeptical until we were greeted. The staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. This is the kind of place that makes you feel like came HOME to your grannies kitchen table. Mind you, not to her "fer Holiday Gatherin Dining Room Table" but the one in the kitchen where you get to sample the Goodies as they are created! The food was GENUINE GOOD FOOD! Things like Tomato Pudding, Fried Fish and Chicken, Ham, Kraut and Sausage, TomatoOnionCuke Salad, Potato Salad...... All Buffet Style! The desserts were Awesome! This is the kind of place you take a friend from another region to sample REAL KY Type Fare. HOWEVER, Not the place to go if you are a Sterile-Clean freak! First bite of Tomato Pudding made me smile and take a step back in time to Mamaws House. I will be going back,,With Friends! OH!!, Forgot to mention, $8.00 Drink included!!

"Our job is to make you happy" a kind elderly man said with a smile as he helmed the register. "Thats a tall order" I shot back, meeting his smile. Succeed they did. The place has so much character. They make no bones about what kind of place youre stepping into from the outside, and I appreciated the years of love that look like have gone into this place. An American Express coffee cup looking like its seen decades of use, but clean when handed to me as if it were his favorite cup. Thats the beautiful kind of dichotomy I love in places like this. Everything is appreciated, there is no facade here. The staff is friendly, the food feels like it was made with love by your aunt, and the price at $8 flat for an adult is fair even if you just eat a single plate. If youre adventuring like me, this a nice place to recharge and feel at home.

Youll easily drive past this little gem.... If there werent a lot of cars in the parking lot, I would have thought the place was abandoned.... But once you go inside, its a wonderful place. The people are so nice and helpful. They told us they have been in business for 40 years, and its easy to see why... The food was AMAZING.... The ribs were juicy and just fell off the bone, the hush puppies had chunks of onion in them, mashed potatoes were hot and buttery.... I did not come across anything I did not like

My wife and I just left there. It was or first time and we went based on the reviews here. The good reviews does it justice. We we walked in, a customer asked if it was our first time then proceeded to tell us what to do and that we could go up as many times as we want. Then the owner meet us and was very nice. Everyone working was wonderful. And the food was great. We hope to make this a regular stop. Cash or check only. Food and drinks for two, only $16.00. All you can eat and drink, $8.00 each.

Theres a reason theyve been in business 40+ years.The negative reviewers mustve eaten somewhere else or have...mental challenges. LSB is hands down the best food in the Commonwealth! I live in Frankfort and actively look for excuses to go to Lexington--just to eat here. My brother has eaten here since the mid 80s and swears the food has been the same level of awesome ever since his first visit.

This might be the worst place I have ever eaten. Its basically an all you can eat soup kitchen. Actually I have worked at a soup kitchen and I would rather eat there the rest of my life than to go back to this buffet. The food was cold and the Mac and cheese was neon yellow. Who ever is giving this place great reviews either works for this place or grew up In a third world country.

8 dollars all you can eat drink included cant be beat. Country cooking with roast beef, fried chicken, fish, ham, Swedish meatballs, salads, and veggies. Ice cream, cake, and cobbler for desert. Friendly helpful staff refills drinks and makes sure everything is going well. Also offers cook to order and take out. 42 years and still going - truly a Lexington jewel.

Incredible food!! Max is amazing we stopped by for a bite to eat and we got a HUGE surprise the food is homemade everyday. Max serves his guests and treats them like family and I have to say that everything was delicious! Max thank you for your wonderful hospitality and delicious food we will definitely be back to eat again!! <3 <3

Wow...gr8 place!!! To see it from the road doesnt look like much...but...inside... The people are friendly... The buffet is small yet very good choices. And the food is well prepared and taste really good. From the saladl to the dessert I couldnt find one thing that didnt taste good

I eat here whenever Im close, the food is just good home cooking! The inside looks the same as it did 20 yrs ago. It has a rustic charm. Its clean, just has an old feel about it. Ill go every chance I get
