Yeah. 4.7 stars? Bull Honkey. The Lo Mein is made with spaghetti noodles which was verbally confirmed by the waitress when I specifically asked her "are the spaghetti noodles". (she immediately replied "yes"). And although its not been verbally confirmed, i am 99.9% certain their Schezuan sauce is made with ketchup. This scam is quite often used as an easy out by many lower quality Chinese cuisine restaurants Therefore, I cannot, in good conscience rate this misleadingly poor quality, authentic Chinese cuisine restaurant with anything but a single star when their authenticity claim cannot withstand even the slightest bit of scrutiny. That said, everything else was 2 stars max . hers Irony how theyre using authentic Italian noodles out of a box in a clearly miserable, failed attempt to peddle Chinese food as authentic. Y It was in now way technically Total fail.

Green Bamboo was the first restaurant I ate at when I came to town 24 years ago and it was the last restaurant I ate at before we moved away a few weeks ago. In all those years our food was consistently tasty - no complaints. Hard to believe because everyone messes up from time to time. I dont consider their prices to be too high - it may all be relative; but their dinner portion sizes are very generous Their buffet (when they have it) has a good selection of food, but not too much. And therefore there is a good rotation of hot food on so that the food does not get cold and yuk. One complaint in regard to the buffet is that they are not fast enough to refill some of the more popular dishes. The restaurant is older and dated. The bathrooms are small and worn. No reflection on the taste of the food.

I am originally from Elizabethtown but have lived in Louisville for over 15 years. Growing up, Green Bamboo was an after church lunch institution for our family and we always had their buffet. I have recently visited Green Bamboo a few times the last six months with my family for the Sunday lunch buffet and to my astonishment, it is even better than I remembered! The selection is better than before and the food is made fresh and not a cooking cooker Chinese buffet like you find at most places. Great food and very reasonable, dont hesitate to try Green Bamboo!

The best Asian food in Elizabethtown. Nicest dining with tablecloths and a more formal decor and more comfortable seating and service than the restaurants which are All Buffet all the time. You can order off the menu here and they make traditional dishes which reflect the creative component of Chinese food..the artistry that you dont see presented on a plate just for you at the big buffet places where they make essentially "casseroles" of food that is poured into a big pan and set out. Its a totally different experience. Its fine dining.

I used to live in KY, but now I live in Florida. When I come to visit, thats the ONE place I HAVE to go when Im there. The hot and sour soup is the best I have EVER had, the Mandarin chicken and Pork with Garlic sauce are my favorites and their egg rolls are better than any one elses. The sweet and sour sauce is unique (and unlike the gelatinous red sauce that most places have.) The service is always top notch and the food is always consistant. I cant say enough about Green Bamboo. My favorite restaurant of all time.

Let me start by saying I dined here once and it was a great experience. Great food, good hot tea, and great service. Let me finish by saying I ordered delivery tonight and was sorely disappointed. To start I ordered Pork in Garlic sauce and Roast Pork Lo Mein. What I got was chicken in both dishes. The fried rice was bland and the wontons in the wonton soup was just noodle. No meat or filling of any kind. I may or may not dine in again but I will surely never order delivery from here ever again.

I havent been here for a while but crave it all the time. I have lived away a number of years and had Chinese food in dozens of places and have never had hot n sour soup that comes close to this place. Its a testimony to this place that the average rating is so high even with the few people who may have had a rare bad experience. I have been going here for probably around 25 years.

This is the best Chinese food I had. It is light an fresh, no greasiness. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced with large portions, there is no better deal. It is better than any Ive had across the US and abroad. Ive been eating there since they opened and will always recommend it first for visitors. I am very proud to have such quality food in our town.

Dont go there if you have kids. They do not have milk, they do not have juice, all they could offer is pink lemonade in a 32oz cup no less... My first child received his order in roughly 15 mins, however there was over 30 mins where my other child was wondering where her food was... Totally unacceptable and very unfare.

Ive been eating here since I was literally a toddler. My parents gave me chicken wings from here as a was to quiet my teething fits and to this day I still love their chicken wings more than any other Ive ever tried. Ive never had a bad dish served here and the staff is all very kind and helpful to the unindoctrinated.

Meal was excellent. We ordered the family dinner . Picked 2 entrees....Mongolian beef spicey, sesame chicken spicy. The meal was served with Soup, Egg Roll, 4 chicken wings and fried rice. Every thing was excellent . Our bill totaled $35 with tip. Great food and service but a little pricey.

So great, we wish we lived closer. Struggling to NOT drive 6 hrs one way just for their food. Staff are the best I have seen ... and this is coming from a former waitress, so you KNOW I am critical of service. THEY ARE FANTASTIC !!!

I love everything about this place, minus their won ton soup. The fried rice is really good and the crispy duck is my favorite! The prices are getting higher every year, so come before you cant afford it anymore. :)

A little different than other Chinese restaurants we have been to. It is more authentic and it was our first time. Food was very good, but certain dishes were tasty but not what used to. Great service and atmosphere.
