I went to the West Side Old Chicago (Downtown OC has always been a good experience) for my 27th Birthday with a small group from work. We got there around 9pm on Tuesday the 1st and were cut off from drinks at 10am. When the waitress came over she seemed unclear as to why we were being cut off. After questioning the waitress more we formed the idea that our bill was to high and they didnt think we could pay. This of course made everyone in our group feel perturbed and judged! I wanted to settle this right away before anyone was offended so I asked to speak with a Manager. After some time another guest joined our group (now a group of 5 and 10am) and she ordered her food and drink, I again asked for the Manager. Some time later our waitress came back and said we could drink more since we had ordered more food, again I asked for the Manager. In the end I found the Manager and described our situation, letting her know it would of meant a lot if she would of came to us to make things clear. This made everyone in my group feel pretty down and really screwed with our fun outing. I wont be going back because I know as a group of ladies we work very hard for our money and I would think the Manager who was also a Woman would of understood going the extra mile of speaking with us would of made everyone feel better. Get it together Old Chicago. P.S. 2 girls had 2 drink each and then my co-worker and I had 3-4 (2 shots and some fruity drinks) When I was talking to the Manger she gave me that has a reason to cut us off. We all had drivers! We all had scheduled rides, in fact my ride was taking 2 other home. We had this planned out! The Manager would of known had she just come talk with us in the beginning .

Hungry?? Dont come to Old Chicago in Old Town Wichita. We usually dont have an issue here, we do come every Tuesday as a work get together. It took an hour to get our food. Ive served before, I do not blame our waitress she tried her best to keep everyone as accommodated as possible. We got 4 wrong pizzas delivered to our table before we got the actual food we ordered. Thirsty? Do not wait on refills because you will not get it. We had to get up and get our own pitcher of water. Its currently still sitting at our table. The server behind me couldnt even be courteous enough to say excuse me. Instead, he pushed my chair in with me still sitting in it to make his way through for a tray. And when I said excuse me, never acknowledged me for it. If you cant handle a Tuesday night "rush" perhaps you should find another job. Plenty of people would like to have a job and you have people who cannot even successfully, compently do the one they are being paid for. Note to servers: you do make majority of your money from tips. Everyone wantsto get paid their worth. Dont get upset when you actually get paid what your work ethic is worth. Having a bad day, leave it at the door. Felling tired? Get more sleep or drink a damn red bull. How about you preform your job properly.

I have never had a bad experience at this particular Old Chicago. The staff is friendly and outgoing, a real treat to be around. This is sort of a "sports bar", so there arent many froo-froo menu items, but there are a lot of televisions. The pizzas are hearty and tasty, the calzones are decadent, the sandwiches are all amazing, the burgers are generously sized, and you can get three types of french fries ta-boot. One has to make a pilgrimage just to try the Italian nachos. This is the best place to go in Old Town, but on weekend nights, it can be difficult to get in. Now I guess some people can get confused and think a fancy "fine dining" experience is what they will find at a sports bar, and are disappointed with places that offer great food, fun atmosphere, and a huge selection of beers, all at a reasonable price. Let them eat their cucumber sandwiches in a silent, pretentious, white room, and have snide yet quiet conversations with each other while they marvel at the smudges of swirled sauces decorating their plates and hiding tiny portions. Those are the sorts of folks you should try to avoid. Come to Old Chicago for Food, fun, and beer!

Not the best not the worst servers try During football season very loud people cheering at the game management seems to be focused on the game instead of the customers off season great place to eat and hang out with friends the food is pretty decent the whiskey burger awesome the staff is very friendly and try their best to accommodate you sometimes they succeed and others they fail but the best experience is to come after football season during you will have a lot of "LOUD" yelling its quite annoying actually...The drinks are pretty much not worth the price but I prefer to drink at home.... Since the cost of booze is cheaper at the liquor store the bar tender melody is pretty easy to get a hook up with if you know what I mean. How ever The cockroaches in the bar area have got to go this place needs an health inspection The liqour store is a better place to get a great beer half the price. They really need a mixologist. The drinks arent worth the money!

By far the worst service in Wichita for a group. Went in a group of 25 that had reserved the "back room" for 25 people and paid the extra money for it. We received on waitress that was trying her best but it just was too much for her. The manager came and tried to help but failed. at the end of the two hour ordeal my daughter, wife, and another member of the group still had not received their food. The manager came and said that our food was being "plated" but 30 minutes later I had to find him to let him know we had not received out meals. Once they arrived they were wrong. He did comp our two missing meals but that does not make the whole experience any better. We had another member of the group order a drink from the bar and it took him 30 minutes to get it. Actually 32 minutes because we started doing over under bets trying to make light of the situation. Best advice to any groups is stay away and find another place.

This location is very busy, which is great for them, however the service isnt generally the best. At my last visit I ordered the same thing I always do. It came out incorrectly twice before the waitress asked for help from a manager. They were finally able to get it right the third time, yet after all the trouble and frustration they did nothing to try to make my experience better. On top of that when my friend ordered a small cider, the waitress made the decision to bring her a bigger one at the more expensive price. We had to correct the waitress on the late night prices and explain how she didnt want the more expensive large drink which is why she ordered what she did. Again, nothing was done to help improve our experience except bring the correct item out. In all, I would highly suggest going to one of the other OC locations in town if you are going to eat there.
