Brought my kids here for ice cream . My son wanted a flavor listed. The owner said "dont we all wish we could. We only serve those for a few months." Then he proceeds to tell us he does not have to work there cause he has two pensions. WTF does that have to do with my son getting an ice cream cone? Rude! The place is dirty everywhere. I will never go back. The chilli cheese fries were awful as well.

Stopped by on a whim one day and what a great find! Everything we have tried has been great. The macaroni balls had a great aoli sauce and it changed my perception of how macaroni can be served. The homemade pecan pie is awesome. The owner is So friendly and we have really enjoyed visiting with him. If youre in the area, or even if youre not, stop in- you wont regret it.

The tenderloins are massive and edible but, the outdoor area is a wreck and is the filthiest place I have ever eaten, flies everywhere and the smell of garbage made me leave once we finally got our food, when was the last time a Heath inspector visited? Its kind of sad, I like to support local business but this is bizarre

Food is OK not great. Menu is all over the place and confusing. Owner is not the nicest person....... Not sure if hes sarcastic or mean. Service extreamly slow. Great for locals who have been there multiple times bad for new comers because of how confusing the menu is. Parking and seating..... Well there isnt much.

We stopped in a couple weeks ago for ice cream. The place was so disgusting and filthy. Flies all over the place. The floor was so bad, the sidewalk outside was cleaner. Back in the kitchen area. stuff was stacked high and a kid was doing homework on the prep area. Health Dept needs to visit !!?

Stopped there while passing through town on my lunch food was delicious i had the tenderloin and chili fries and a chocolate malt the man behind the counter maybe the owner was very polite and very nice great value for the price

Epics tenderloins and friendly service. Please note that this is a small shop with limited personnel - one person operating. I typically call ahead when ordering multiple sandwiches to feed the family.

Their ham pastramion sandwich is absolutely delicious. Ham, pastrami, cheese, homemade coleslaw, and banana peppers on toasted French bread. I live in west des moines and make special trips for it.
