Brewlab has a great beer selection. Theyve got something for everyone, from standard New Belgium to Founders to Petrus. The staff is very friendly. As a side note, the bar-top is a gorgeous acrylic mix vaguely reminiscent of a nebula. The only critiques I have are: 1. The space echos a lot due to the concrete flooring (especially the TVs -- I hate TVs in bars and you cant get away from them here). 2. The lighting is *really* bright. Dont go here if you want a feeling of intimacy.

Wish I could give 4.5 stars. The only detracting factor for me is the fact that the food setup seems a little haphazard, but this place has great beer, good music, friendly staff, and is the only place in town where I can go hang out and read, draw, or talk to people without screaming at them. Patio is great, fantastic atmosphere.

Good place for a drink and conversation. Nothing ultra special, but the music isnt so loud you cant hear the person across from you. Very spacious room, not crowded at all whenever I have visited. Blend Card specials, and Trivia Night are a good time as well!

A welcome addition to Iowa City! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great beer, obvious devotion to the craft. You can go with a date (Im referring to my wife, of course) and have conversation with no loud noise or TVs blaring.
