Counting Sheeple

Eggs were not done and the toast looked toasted, but it was as limp as a piece of really soft bread. I said something about it and the waitress was polite. She brought me a new plate, albeit after my wife was finished eating. This time the eggs were cooked at least, but the "toast" was still limp. It looked like it had fake cook marks on it..Whatever, its just toast, but still. Either way, they took the price of the meal off of the bill. That was thoughtful...But there were other problems too; the bacon was the real thin, real skinny kind that McDonalds used to use, like the microwave kind. Look, I dont know about you, but I dont go out to eat so I can have microwave food. I can do that at home for 1/10th the cost. Also, there were two menus(why? to be confusing?) with mostly junk on them, I guess cuz us hillbillies in Iowa only like tator tots covered in sausage gravy and cheese sauce! Lastly, the waitress seemed crazy and/or hungover, and was talking to herself and patrons with this high and raspy voice. It was annoying! Whatever, not the biggest of deals, but, I just dont see myself going back there anytime soon. And I used to love Perkins. Back in the day, wed hang out at Perkins for hours. Now, living in Iowa 20 years later, this Perkins opened up a mile from my house, and I was excited. But now, hey, I guess Im over it. Meh.. 3 stars for refunding me.

This place is a joke! The fact that they have to have their employees leave 5 star comments to boost there rating is desciving and pretty sad (you know who you are). The service is a terrible, the food is awful. We were sat right away but waited almost 15 mins until the young lady who sat us had to come get our drink orders because our waitress was most likely out smoking ( i say this because she reeked of a cigarette) We got our food in a decent amount of time but it tasted like it was microwaved (edges hot center cold). And the management is so rude to their employees. I watched/ heard the manager belittle one of her waitress while they were in the back the last time (key word last time and final time) I ate in the establishment.

First time at their new location, I ordered eggs benedict and got a side of pancakes. Mm, a nice 3 stack. My first bite of maple goodness was a mouthful of onions, nothing worse especially when you dont like onions! That was in Feb 2017. Went there last weekend for a nice breakfast with family from out of town. I ordered the tremendous twelve, and this time the only thing edible was the pancakes! Ordered scrambled eggs and they came out folded, but inside was soupy mess. Everyone else in my party had over salted food. Yuck! NEVER returning. Fool me twice, shame on me!

I just went to pick up a pie for my husbands birthday. When I arrived I purchased the pie as my sleeping 11 month old baby lay her head on my shoulder. After purchasing, a blonde woman with her hair in a bun insisted she accompany me out to my car holding my pie. I said that I could manage, but she smiled and insisted she help, and told me to take my time. After she placed the pie in my front seat , she says "next time you call us and ask us to bring the pie out, and you let that baby sleep". What a small, yet so much appreciated act of kindness.

My wife, my granddaughter & I arrived around 5:45 pm. We were welcomed & seated quickly. No one came to our table for 15+ minutes - only after stopping one of waitresses and asking if our table was hers did we finally get someone to wait on us - now approaching 30 minutes. Took our order, asked what we would like to drink. 25-30 minutes later our food arrives...NO drinks yet! My foot was warm, definitely not hot. More than likely we will not eat there again. Very disappointing!!!

Waitress was nice, but they messed up our orders. Place is straight up unprofessional, whole time all I could hear Is the employees using foul language. I had my one year old stuck hearing that bizarre tone the whole dinner and even in the music in the kitchen was using foul language. Food wasnt cooked all the way. Highly dissapointed with service and I shall not being returning to that "restaurant" nor would I ever reccomend anyone eating there.

The wait staff was very pleasant and the greeter welcome us very warmly and seated us promptly. However the Manger treated the waitstaff very coursely even going as far as confronting the waitstaff infront of customer in dinning room staff. While paying are bill he was being very sarcastic to wait staff and interrupted us while we were talking to her. Aside from his actions the whole dinning experience was wonderful.

I always have a wonderful time at Perkins. I go once a week and my service is always fantastic. They servers are friendly and the food is always delicious. The price is fair for the amount of food you get as well!!
