My husband and I visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon about two weeks ago. We had hear many great things about the food here. Unfortunately, we had an extremely negative experience with the staff. This restaurant has extremely poor service, is unprofessional and unwelcoming. During our visit, we entered the restaurant and seated ourselves, as the sign stated. We spent a good 15 minutes at our table waiting without anyone greeting us, bringing us menus or silverware. We attempted to get the attention of the staff. The busboy completely ignored us while he just chatted and laughed loudly with difference customers. He did look in our direction, however, he made no attempt to come our to our table. We attempted to stop the waitresses who were working on the floor. Again, we were completely ignored. They did glance at us but did not bother coming to our table. My husband approached one of the staff members who was prepping the silverware and explained our situation and asked for menus. She apologized for the lack service from her colleagues and brought menus to our table. She stated that someone would be with us shortly to take our order. We waited an additional 15 mins for someone to take order. During this time, none of the waitresses made any attempt to come our table to take our orders. So, we left the restaurant. We are unable to comment on the quality of the food at this establishment since no one ever took our order.

From the looks outside it sort of looks a little run down but as you enter the restaurant there is friendly staff that welcomes you to this cozy place. Often seating is "seat yourself" but its so busy you end up waiting for a table. The menu has a variety of American food to choose from. Its classic diner fare. At first look all the prices seem outdated since they are so low and you may expect to get simply portions, but anything that weve ordered has always filled us up and left some for take home. We dont live close and when we make trips here we always stop in. Every time we have stopped in its only been for breakfast and can say the skillets are great as well as the ham and eggs. My wife and I always get the pancakes instead of toast because they are so fluffy and buttery. In our opinion this great spot for a quick breakfast. If you have a chance give it a try and dont be deceived by the looks from outside.

This is not a yuppie, modern brunch haven. What it is, is really tried and true breakfast food, home cooked for every individual. Dont go here for health food, theres little to be had. The dinner menu claimed various fried fish and frog legs, and made me glad I was there for pancakes and eggs. They serve coffee in an assorted collection of mugs youd expect to find at your grandparents house. Its not fancy but it was wonderful and I look forward to making me way here again next time Im passing through the St. Louis suburbs.

Place was great. Good food, unbeatable prices. Went there for a late Sunday breakfast, sat immediately. Wife and I with our 4 year old. He ordered off the Adult menu, short stack of pancakes and a choco milk. Had he ordered the kids single pancake, which is about all he ate of the 3, we would have had his milk for free. I"m a large man and my meal filled me up, wife had an omelette and we both had coffee. Bill was right at $20. Plus tip of course. Our Server was perfect.

I visit this fine establishment as often as possible and always come away extremely happy. They have so many options to choose from, breakfast available all day, and you can order ice cream as a side!! Dont even get me started on the all you can eat chicken tenders for under 10$. I could continue to write positive reviews all day, but now I want to get me some Sunrise pancakes which are truly unbeatable. Keep up the great work guys!

This is a great place to bring the family for any part of the day rather its breakfast lunch or dinner, you can get it all anytime of the day I love the fact that they open up at 6 am and dont close until 830 pm, the place has an old country feel as well as a 50s kinda feel the price is well worth the amount of food you get.

You get a lot of food for the price. Prices are very affordable and the food is home cooking quality. I drive 45 minutes one way just to get the Walleye fish dinner or the Farmers Omelette breakfast. It may look like a dive; but, its one of those hole in the wall places you come back to time after time.

Wow. I have no idea why anyone would eat here. Waitress was so nice but man is this place run down. Pancakes were okay. Bacon was brown and looked rotten. Grilled chicken was covered in American cheese, slightly grilled onions, and the brown bacon. Seriously, how is this place still in business??

This is a classic local greasy spoon. The food is fast, inexpensive, and good (though it isnt exactly a "healthy fare" sort of place). The staff are friendly and the decor is, well, irrelevant. They dont put their money into sticking guff on the walls.

One of the waitresses I dont know who but they treated me like crap by dropping my sandwich on purpose when I was having a bad day. Recently my dad had their biscuits and gravy with the eggs. He got very sick from eating the eggs, stay away!!!

I come here every Wednesday. The food is amazing, service is friendly, and is just an all-around friendly place. Reminds me of the television show Cheers. I can walk in and say "Ill have the usual." And its out in a timely manner.

This is a great place to eat. To bad I live in Atlanta or I would eat here all the time. The breakfast is the best and if your in town going to the airport as I was and would like a great place to eat this is the place to go.

Its a down home, unassuming diner that has awesome food, huge proportions & very reasonable prices. If you dont think a restaurant should be judged by its furnishings... YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Great service. Good coffee. Bacon is batch cooked and doesnt taste good. French toast is like scrambled egg encrusted toast, no flavor, over medium eggs came out under easy, runny white.
