Pretzel buns yummy yum yum. I dont know what Id do without there soft pretzely goodness. If I had the money Id bathe in them. No water, just the soft warm buns fresh out of the village inns oven. The ladys would swarm after smelling my new and improved stink. I dont think I could recommend anything more then these buns. Oh my god just imagine if my buns could be replaced with these pretzels 0.0 id never have a cold butt again. Three stars because they were gonna make me pay for more buns. How lame is that.

Im in there every time I go to Dubuque. The waitresses all know me. This week Im in there twice and next week 3 times. One time I got the wrong order and got my breakfast free. They were really busy that day. At Sunshine Restaurant they brought me not what I ordered and would not take it back. One other time I took a piece of pie home from Sunshine Restaurant and it had a bone in it andhave never gone back. I also ate at place downtown and food was cold, dont remember the name and have not gone back.

For a middle of the road, sort of bargain type restaurant; I always seem to have helpful folks waiting on me, decent food, very nice deserts, and a very reasonable bill. Im sure these are the reasons this place is full very often. If you like pies for a desert item; save room for a slice, I always do!

Its okay. I wasnt blown away by any means. Portion sizes are on the small side in instances and prices, i think, are a little high because of this. They are known for their pies, but I did not have any so I cannot speak for those. A lot of elderly people go here, they seem to enjoy it.

Great food, but the staff was so-so. We went for a late Saturday morning breakfast. Our waitress was overbearing and acted like she wanted us out of there. The other staff were friendly, but once "off-duty" they became rude and obnoxious.

The first two times I went here, this place was great. However, the last time I was there my server disappeared after taking our drink order and then left us hanging, wondering if the kitchen was closed. Overall though, not bad.

Hubby and I stop here whenever our travels take us through the area. The staff is wonderful---you get fast , friendly service and decent food. Love the breakfast! The prices are reasonable and the portions big.
