If I could rate this place 0 star, I definitely would! They lure you in there with false advertisement, an outside sign for their lunch menu of $3.99 and up, yet on their paper menu, there isnt even a $3.99 meal. It smells amazing when you walk in, so despite the false advertising, you are starving and decide to stay. Then when you get your food, its a complete disappointment, with their itty bitty childrens portions, and the taste...bleh! I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein lunch special, and I dont know what they did, but I could of sworn I was eating french toast, it was so, so sweet...yuck!! And little missy, your attitude greeting us, was no better than your food...what a waste of money!

I eat here all the time. I have never had a bad experience with the staff or any of the food. Its not super upscale, but it doesnt need to be! The Mongolian beef is my favorite and I love their Crab Rangoon. Ive looked at some of the reviews and Im not sure any of those people have actually eaten here. This is American Chinese, Mom and Pop. The building is old and not what youd call impeccably decorated, but that does nothing to change the food. Its delicious, its fast. You get an amazing amount of food for your money and the woman working at the front is always nice and greets us with a smile. I love it! Id recommend it to anyone <3

OMG... This place sucks sooooo bad!!! This is th WORST food I have ever had in my entire life. Truthfully I have had some nasty food from all around the United States back when I was in the Marine Corps but the food served to my wife and I was by far the WORST. Everything we ordered literally smelled like a fart and tasted even worse. Neither one of us could finish one dish it was that horrible. I wouldnt feed this to a starving dog as it would be considered animal cruelty. This place should be put out of business. I want to vomit every time I pass by.

I eat here all the time. In my opinion, this is the best fast (American Style) Chinese food you can get in the the Des Moines area. Tsing Tsao was my favorite before Mr. Eggroll and now I dont even go there anymore. The Mongolian beef is simply amazing. There is a reason it is #1 on their list of favorite dishes. No matter what time I eat here, my food is always made fresh yet it is still fast. Ive never had a bad meal from here.

Good food, great prices. No delivery and check your order before you leave the restaurant. They make minor mistakes sometimes (forget the soup, make chicken and broccoli when you asked for pork instead). But theyre very accommodating. And theyre a little hole in the wall place so its home-y. Just a friendly heads up though, the building exterior does look a little shady but the insides fine.

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Des Moines area. All of the entrees Ive tasted have been really tasty, my favorite is the Mongolian Beef. I usually dont call a head but theyre speedy enough it doesnt really make a difference. Portion sizes and prices are what youd expect for a Chinese restaurant, theyre generous portions easily enough for two meals and fair pricing.

The lowdown - Mr Eggroll is a small, family owned restaurant with a good location and decent food. Theres not much in the way of ambiance, but their food is cheap and tasty. Each meal comes with either hot and sour soup or egg drop soup and both are very good along with an eggroll. Ive never tried their dinner menu.

Some of the food is medicore but other things are good... its chinese fast food NOT gormet and if your okay with that then try it out yourself to see. Good prices and large portions. I like the Mongolian chicken and jalapeño crab ragons. The egg rolls are not very good though despite the name of the resturant.

Dont judge a book by its cover. Theres not much to see on the outside, but come in for some great Chinese Food. I recommend the Kung Bao Beef! Great hot & sour soup and egg rolls. Crab rangoon are often overcooked and are empty. Otherwise great food!

From the hot and sour soup that was more like a gravy, to the rude help, and everything in between, it was pretty terrible. Were from CA and keep trying to find descent mom and pop Chinese... in the mean time well be going to Panda Express :(

Their food is amazing and you get it very quickly. My only complaint is that the Crab Rangoon is fried too long because the cream cheese melts so you are basically eating fried dough. They would be amazing otherwise.
