Its very hard to not like the family restaurant. Its the quintessential medium-sized town diner that specializes in familiar foods, and does them well. Not the sort of place you go to impress a new girlfriend, but a place you would definitely take someone on a second or third date when you want to make sure you get a good meal! We frequent here when we visit my grandparents. They really enjoy the place because its familiar and the food is solid. We really enjoyed it because it facilitates conversation and is a very good value. My favorite thing about this place is that if you order eggs, they will generally double the amount that you order. One goes to 2, 2 goes to 4, and we review our multiplication tables as such. Breakfast is the primary me all that we have here, however weve been here for lunch as well and everything they have is good. I may have to have something that I tell people they need to go there and order, but Ive also not had anything that I wouldnt order again. Like many other diners, its got a smaller town feel that makes it a bit whimsical the dining. The decor is dated, but its very comforting and familiar. Well worth checking out if youre in the area and looking for something delicious and safe.

One of the most tastless breakfast platters I have ever been served. However my daughters bowl of fruit was huge and fresh and my wifes pecan roll was warm and rich. I ordered a 12z chop steak with oe eggs and hasbrowns with toast. I do not exaggerate when i say it all had no flavor. The hasbrowns were barley left on the griddle and came out cold and pale, the eggs were cooked correctly and the chop steak was a dry crumbly atrocity. I even ordered a side of sausage gravy to amother it all to get it down. The gravy came in a 4z bowl and cost 4.75 and did nothing to enhance the flavor. Didnt even get through half the meal so i just quit. I have been to their moline counterpart numerous times and have nothing but great things to say when it comes to the value of that particular locations food.

my wife and I eat at here about once a month. they have very good breakfast and sandwiches, we never get the dinner specials. they are typically fish, liver or something else I dont enjoy. the wait staff is great, not the friendest but very professional and always get great service. the view from instead however is rather dated, Id guess late 70s. which might be okay since that might detract others and keep a table open for us.

Very old school and just a little run down. It feels like they have been serving the same set of things since the 70s. It didnt knock my socks off but the service was good, the food ok (but was a little bland) portions were huge. My wifes montecristo was far better.

They have the best chickened fried steak, so tender you can cut it with a fork. You also get double eggs, order two and youll get four. The staff is friendly and courteous and we stop here whenever we visit the area.

Do not eat here !!! Horrible service and plan on waiting at least a half hour for overcooked food. Also the menu doesnt describe the dishes correctly... I will never go back !!
