Im a xennial. I dont often quite feel the need to review an establishment whatever it may be. I really dont care to influence other peoples decisions. I frankly dont care if youre someone who has to get on the a smartphone and ask bixby, siri, or jeeves where the best (fill in the blank) is. It is my opinion that we are all different and we get things done in different ways. This morning, i looked for the neatest kept exterior and overall design of landscaping at a breakfast establishment. I was looking for a place that exuded a sense of pride visible from the road. That is simply it. I am spending a lot of time on this review, and hopefully Ill get to the verdict. However, being on a week long vacation, this isnt costing the company anything as far as in productivity goes. So Ill get to the point: I am away from home, which I would love to go back to soon. Tired of eating out but this felt like my hometown diner. Nice kind staff, seated quickly, but not rushed. Deviated slightly from menu, no problem at all. Good conversations all over in the background. I came alone, but never felt like I was. Oh, and the breakfast was almost as good as mom would have made. Yea, Ill be back.

Had dinner for first time tonight at this restaurant, came for soup and salad for myself, chicken dinner for my companion. Before the server left to turn in the order, had asked for lemon slices for my water. Server never came back until chicken dinner was served. Thanked her for the slices, her response was "I forgot". She came back to refill ice tea for companion, didnt even bother asking me if I wanted more water, drank it all and was empty. Seemed she had an issue with me on a personal level. Will NOT return.

Was originally drawn to the large portions that the restaurant serves, though after coming back many times it is evident that the the menu doesnt have much to look through. Average American dining that can be made better or worse depending on where you go. Personally, I think that the restaurant on Lacrosse in Rapid is very good. The staff are friendly and I will always go back, even if its for something small. I cannot stand the Millstone in Spearfish. The staff rude, grumpy, and management are unprofessional.

Admittedly we were there later in the evening but that should be NO excuse. The lettuce on the salad bar had pieces that were starting to turn brown. The clam chowder was so thick it couldve been used for wallpaper paste. I was never asked if I wanted another soda and my husband was never asked if he wanted more hot water for his tea. He had the fried fish and it was fried so much it was tough. The North Lacrosse location seems to be going downhill and isnt as good as it used to be.

The good: the breakfast sausages were great, perfectly crisp on the outside, Id say they were perfect breakfast sausages, the coffee was decent with a smooth taste and the sourdough toast was pretty good. The bad: otherwise bland food, modest portions, the corned beef hash was clearly hornel brand from a can (and still wet, not crispy at all), drab atmosphere and the wait staff was in a hurry to bustle us out, and quibbled about bringing extra water. Not impressed.

My son grandson and I stop in this restaurant late at night around 10:35 and they close at 11:00 I was not feeling well but the waiters could not treated us with more courtesy. She took our order and still presented it wilt a smile, the food was hot and tasted good. They did not hurry us out at all so yes I will return to this restaurant again.

I normally always like going to Millstone, but this evening was the worst ever. I put my order in to go at 5:12, for a burrito and 2 piece chicken dinner and it finally was done at 6:30. But they forgot my mashed potatoes, the place was packed and they had like only 2 Cooks, they need more help. Just say in.

Great place! Lots to choose from on the menu to include daily specials. I had turkey and Hubby had chicken. Ridiculously large amounts of good food. Great deserts! And the bill was extremely reasonable. No wonder the restaurant was full of locals (all the licence plates were South Dakota)!

Amazing food! I mean its like home cooking.... Im from Missouri, so it was perfect for us ALL 5 times we were there for our vacation! Amazing and friendly staff... And fast service... And our food was out quickly every time... Nothing to say bad about this place at all... Great cooks!

First off i eat here almost every weekend. Normally I have a very very good experience. Food is normally good. Service is normally good. Well this time my fries were burnt, replacement was rock hard & the cashier didnt to care to ask how my visit was. Kind of ruined my morning.

Happened across this place well looking for a meal to cap off a long day of travel. Food was excellent, as was the service. Good home style food even the lemonade tasted like fresh squeezed. Prices are very good for the amount of food that you get. We will be going back.

This is one of two in Rapid City. Here is great people in the front of the house but the cooks always just miss the mark. The other restaurant across town the cooks are great but the hostess waiters and management is rude wish they could get it right

We stopped here on a whim because we had not eaten here before and happened by. The service was great. My coffee cup never became half empty. The caramel rod were superb and the English muffins are made on site. Absolutely, delish. We will be back.

Friendly atmosphere. Wonderful waitress. Friday night fish fry wasnt up to expectations. When we asked for our second piece of fish, my man got twice as much fish as I did. The floor was pretty dirty. Otherwise...delicious food.

Very friendly staff, extremely quick service, ordered breakfast for 4 and was very surprised at how quick they brought out the food (breakfast is pretty simple, but it was noticeably quick). Good food, would definitely go back.

Had a home cooked, family feel. Many older diners there. Myself and my husband ordered the roast beef and Turkey specials. Unfortunately, the meat was like shredded much meat. Right next door to hotels and mini golf.

Big group of 9 seated easily and quickly. Great service from grandma Marge who brought all the extras without even asking. This is a better, bigger version of Perkins and IHop. Fast food. Super clean.

We come here almost every Sunday for breakfast after church. Never disappointed! Love the staff and the food. If the kids get to pick where we go out to eat 90% of the time this is their choice!!
