As a Turkish, before going there I wasnt expecting so much deliciousness and good quality. After all, it was just an average Turkish restaurant in the US. Yet, honestly speaking, I wasnt expecting an utter disaster either. This was the worst Turkish food I have ever had abroad. My wife had lahmacun, the Turkish pizza made with grounded meat and I think it was not cooked at the restaurant, instead, it was re-heated and dry, and she did not like it at all! I did not want to touch it. I had mixed grill. Doner/gyro kabob was both overcooked outside and incredibly raw inside. Meat on my plate was greasy. The only edible thing was chicken breast. Not to mention lamb shish and adana kabobs, they were just awful! Again, lamb was chewy, overcooked, and even burnt. I would just say: we will never, ever go there again!

The worst service Ive ever seen in my whole life among all countries Ive been to,, I and my GF were suppose to break our fasting today, we reach the restaurant too early even, it was 7:55 pm, we were the second table ordered breaking fast meal,,, ppl start to come,,, and at 8:25pm all tables have all their orders except I and my GF, we asked the waiter, he replie: our meal on the way, and they kept serving the other tables,, I went to the chef asking whats wrong there, we were the first to come over, he replied rudely: Im serving by orders,,!!!!!! His way was really rude, obviously he didnt notice we were the first,,, Anyway, I and my GF didnt say a word toward rudeness and worst service ever, we just went out and left the worst restaurant Ive ever been to in my openion.

There is no greater bargain in Turkish food in the entire Boston area: a bargain of high quality and low price. You dont go here for fancy decor or service. Service is perhaps the most annoying aspect. From personal experience, I have rarely seen a place with a routine randomness of 1 to 10. Sometimes service is great, other times middling and often outright awful. Sometimes, I have been there twice in a week and received the must rude treatment from a waitress only to be greeted by the same one as a good friend. BUT... you come here for great Turkish food. Yes, they have probably the strangest menu of Americana crap, but their Turkish food is excellent. Where else can you get a free dish of tasty beans and bread for dinner?

The food here can be quite tasty sometimes, and other times be regrettable. The dishes I recommend the most are the appetizers, particularly sigara boregi (phyllo dough with cheese inside) and mucver (zucchini patties). I would highly recommend avoiding the insta-falafel that they likely do not make on their own. And although youd expect a Turkish place to do doner well, their meat is usually kind of tough. Also just be forewarned, the service is almost always lackluster. Waitresses Ive had are either seemingly annoyed to be serving you, or confused while they do so. I love Turkish food, and will inevitably be back, but I just wish this place stepped up its game a bit.

Theres not many Brookline Family Restaurant in the bay area and once I saw this I wanted to try it, really bad. I was greeted and welcomed very generously and was given water at the moment. It was a very relaxed atmosphere, the area is not the best but its okay. The food tasted very fresh and tasty. I had the Brookline Family Restaurant and it was pleasant, I was told they have some variety types of tea on some days but Brookline Family Restaurant is very common.I am content with the place and Ill come back for more tasty treats.

Zero stars- there have been a couple of occasions when cold plates tasted borderline or even downright sour - but three people got food poisoning after getting takeout from the place yesterday, most likely due to bad ground lamb dishes. I called the restaurant and got attitude from the manager person - "go call your lawyers", "go complain somewhere else." Eat here at your own risk.

I need to confess they serve the most typical turkish food in town. People who think that Turkish food is only kebabs, must visit and eat at this place. On the other hand, even if they offer very good options, the taste of the food is not at its best. It could be way much better. If you live in Boston, I strongly recommend going there at least once to get a sense of Turkish food.

Hi, Im 27 years old Turkish international student. All I can say is it is the worst Turkish food you can ever eat and also the cookers are really dirty and rude people. As a Turkish man I shouldnt right this review but I cant advertise this Turkish Restaurant. If you want to eat Turkish Restaurant go to Saray Restaurant. Better people, better food , better pricing.

I went there solely because of groupon promotion. The place was shabby and untidy, the food was very mideocre to say the best (fast food or take out quality), and the service was totally lacking. We bought a $39 Groupon for one appetizer and two entrees and paid extra $15 for tax and tips. Totally not worth it. Would never go there again.

Fantastic food and great people. They are very honest too.. The only suggestion I have for the management is that they hire couple more waitresses to help out others. The restaurant is filled with customers every time I go there. It seems that it is becoming more and more popular as years go by. Keep up the good work!

Some folks here dont know what they are doing. A sandwich priced as $7.80 that is under lunch section of the menu is sold for $10.65 First I was told it was the tax. Then I was told it was because its not lunch time. I usually pick up the same item around 9 pm for $8.35 Other then that the food is great.

The good: the prices were very low. Fed a family of 5, plus another adult for under $40. The waitresses were pleasant and attentive. The bad: The falafel was very dry and not wrapped well, the lamb tasted like it could be any meat and the flavors were flat. Would have gladly paid more for better food.

If you are looking for good food and delightful ambiance, this won’t be your choice. I am originally from the middle east and I can tell you the food quality at this restaurant was poor. The meat was hard and chewy, the eggplant was tasteless and the rice tasted like instant rice.

"My restaurant? Eh, its a job." Dreadful, slow, inattentive service; really tired decor; doesnt smell nice; prices are not bad, but Id rather pay more for better. This is the most mediocre Turkish food outside of Norman, OK. If youre in Boston there are better places

This was the most terrible Turkish restaurant that I went to and moreover the staff made mistakes while charging the credit cards. I made a phone call and told the staff about that charging mistake and they were very unfriendly and not cooperative at all.
