Tap dancing...what a show!!!! I didnt know that I was paying for more than just an Italian experience with my meal. I entered the establishment with a rumbly in my tumbly and a mission without permission; eggplant was on my mind and nothing more. We were seated immediately, to which I proceeded to leap into the air and click my heals together knocking the food off of someones table; that never happens because Im white and white man cant jump or so Im told. I apologized and walked away like nothing happened; I didnt want the couples look of horror to ruin my night. Once we were seated our waiter...or waitress, Im not sure exactly, started singing everything they were saying. After they paused for a second to breath I belted out a five minute ballad about eggplant that was accompanied by an equally impressive rock guitar solo played by my date. Our server was impressed, I mean of course he/she was, it was an epic moment. After about 30 or so minutes of salad eating and appetizer munching my eggplant arrived. Before we were graced with its presence our water-tress tapped a dance so impressive that my date and I had to give himer a standing ovation. The rest of the night involved munching on the most delicious eggplant from all of Italy. Nom nom nom. I even made sure that I got some stuck in my beard so Id have some left overs for later. Im only now wishing the eggplant was my date so Id have a piece of it forever. I can only imagine how amazing its kisses are...unf. Olive Garden of Cedar Rapids your experience will be in my heart and soul for the rest of forever. Keep on keeping on.

Just got done eating here for lunch with my sister. Ive been here before but will NEVER eat here again. Our waitress was extremely rude and was more concerned about eating her own lunch than serving us ours. We sat at a table next to the waitstaff that was eating their lunch (including our waitress). We ran out of breadsticks quickly and had to wait for probably 10 minutes for her to check on us since she was busy eating her own food. When she served us our last bowl of soup she was very hurried to get back to her own food and just haphazardly threw out bowls of soup, waters, and breadsticks on the table. When we were finished, she didnt even offer a take home sack for the breadsticks we didnt eat.. Im sorry but it was very unprofessional to have waitstaff, that are supposed to be serving us, eat alongside us and choose not to serve us... Extremely unhappy and I hope in the future you only allow waitresses and waiters to only eat on their break and not when they are in the middle of taking care of tables.

We usually have great meals at Olive Garden however, the last 3 times have not been good. The eggplant parm. tonight was terrible! The tomatoes in the marinara were rotten, smelled and tasted awful. When we talked to the manager, she acted like we were crazy. The time before, the parm. was so spicy, I couldnt stand to eat it, same reaction from a different manager, and he smart mouthed asked if I needed some milk to drink. Im wondering if they have new staff, cooks, etc I know, dont order the eggplant? The waitress assured my daughter and I that it must have been a bad batch of marinara, so I asked for mine on the side. Not spicy, but rotten, stinky tomatoes. Two of us did not get a meal, did they seem to care, no. It took us over 2 hours to get our meals, crazy with our 2, 4, and 6 year old grandchildren. They took the charge off, but still we came home hungry. Oh well, live and learn. We take our family of 11 so the bill is usually around $250.00, we will not be back anytime soon:)

The food is always good. However on my visit today, I experienced the worst waiter in my history of dining. Everybody knows you get unlimited salad in Olive garden, its even written boldly on the menu. However after my first bowl of salad,I was refused a refill because my husband had a taste of my salad. I told the waiter we normally do this and its not a new thing,in the rudest way possible, he said it wasnt allowed. He then came back with the salad at the end of our meal saying his manager said to give us. Theres nothing wrong in owning up to your mistake Mr. I still sound angry because I just left the restaurant. I refuse to describe the waiter.

This place used to be amazing, in the last id say 9 months its significantly gone down hill. I would be writing a novel if I told about the past many poor experiences the last 9 months. THEY HAVE A NEW CHEF ALSO. Part of the issue. They dont know what they are doing and management is condescending or I should say this specific woman. The manager they had or have Josh was great, the woman doesnt take charge. The food has become disgusting for instance braised beef thats frozen, zupa is now a joke, stale breadsticks and MANY other things. Its slipping. Its sad because we used to have nothing but good experiences.

My son, his girlfriend and I went to eat here this evening and the sevice was HORRIBLE! We had FOUR different people waiting on us! First, the gal brought our salad with ranch...yuck! Then we ordered the Alfredo sauce for our breadsticks and got some orange sauce. Then we asked to get another order of bread sticks and had to ask 3 diffent people before we got them. I got the buy one take one Alfredo and had to ask four times before I finally got my take one so we could leave!! $62 later, we finally got out of there and left extremely upset!! Never again!!!

Our waiter was friendly. But my wifes ice tea had two cherry stems at the bottom of the glass. They compensated us one tea. Our first bowl of salad had hardly any dressing. My wifes build your own pasta with whole wheat spaghetti & grilled chicken lacked flavor and my chicken and shrimp carbonara was so oily and the pasta was way overcooked. I expect mediocre at Olive Garden but my last experience was way less. Serves us right on Christmas eve but it sounded like a good idea after last minute shopping.

Waitress spilled soda all over me, the food taste terrible, husbands chicken Alfredo didnt come with chicken so he had to wait another 10 mins for chicken, when the chicken came out it just tasted awful tasted very dry and essentially dirty, waitress got cheese all over the table and she seems like she doesnt have incentive to stay around or even to try better. Store seemed old and dirty, kinda has a bad smell to it. Overall terrible experience. Will not come again

The Olive Garden was within walking distance of our hotel. We had a very tasty meal that was very reasonable, even with a bottle of wine thrown in. Free unlimited salad and breadsticks were thrown in, so we were stuffed. Because we bought a bottle of wine we also walked away with two free wine glasses. Perfect for a no-fuss no hassle Italian meal.

I have given this Olive Garden my last try the breadsticks are tough to chew the food tastes bland and is usually watery if you want Olive Garden and want it to taste like food please go to Coralvillle. This place should change management as soon as possible to maybe someone with taste buds! Its a real shame because the staff is really nice.
