Friendly counter staff; great burgers, fries, chicken strips, and cheese curds. Could have been cleaner, but they needed more staff. Watched them carefully for some minutes... someone let them know an about empty ketchup dispenser... waitstaff acknowledged that and took the plastic container that held individual packets that was next to the dispenser to fill it. Then the customer rudely snipped back "I Was Talking About the Dispenser". The employee again acknowledged the concern and went ti the back to fill the plastic bowl. He brought it back immediately, filled to the brim. By that time another customer had come up to the front to make an order. A member of the family of the individual that let him know the dispenser was empty came back over to the dispenser and in a huff and grabbed a huge handful of packets. Muttering about how the employee didnt listen. Several minutes go by after the worker takes the order from the front, and several other customers that have been in line so he takes their orders also. Maybe 10 minutes and come by at this point and not one single one of those minutes was wasted by the employee. But lo and behold I like it here in the dining area was that family complaining about how much this place sucks because they cant fill their own ketchup dispenser like the customer asked. As soon as the counter employee that filled the individual packets container was free I saw him come back around, get the dispenser, take it back fill it up and bring it out, took all of 3 minutes. So he goes back to work taking a couple more orders and doing whatever behind the counter, and as soon as a dispenser is filled up I guess he was right there filling up more little Cups than they could probably ever use? Thats right the family I am now calling the Grumps. So not only have they taken maybe 15 20 packets of ketchup that theyll likely never use and just threw a, theyve been complaining up a storm about service. All I can see is amazing service fast order taking at the front, refilling the condiments as needed and advised. Its unfortunate that employees sometimes get blamed for short-sighted management understaffed. And looking at these reviews thats kind of what I see a pattern of not having enough employees to take care of the place. I dont believe it has anything to do with people that are lazy, slovenly, or uncaring. If Im ever in the area again I definitely plan to go back.

We go in there ever so often because its the only A&W in the area and of the chain burger joints, A&W has the best tasting food. But, the service at this A&W is nearly non-existent. Most every time were in there theyve messed up multiple orders and there are people standing around waiting to have things fixed. Theres generally always trash on the floors and tables not being wiped properly. Yesterday the root beer was coming out a pale color and it took five minutes to get someones attention. Several others complained after I did. Im not sure they ever got around to fixing the problem. Another gentleman had to flag down a worker to get his table cleaned. The man that cleaned the table and got me some actual root beer was the only one there yesterday that seemed to have any real interest in doing a job. The guy that took our order certainly was unpleasant, bored and leaning against the wall, mumbling. While we were eating, this was past 1 pm and the place was only half full, they were telling people it would be a fifteen to twenty minute wait for their food because they were "busy". Potential customers were turning away in disgust. They were not busy. There were at least eight workers there. But, other than the one mentioned before, the rest were just bored, cranky or lazy. When I was a kid A&W was a wonderful chain restaurant and we loved going there. I still like the food, but this place needs to be looked at by corporate. Its an embarrassment to their name.

When we arrived shortly after 6:00 pm on Sunday 3/6/16, all the chairs were put up on the tables like they were closed so my husband went in and asked if they were still open. The employee (Nicholas) said, "Unfortunately, we are." We did go in and there were no other customers inside and yet the place was filthy. As we were ordering, my husband turned to me and said what would you like and before I could answer the cashier said McDonalds. I shot him a glare and he said sorry, it has been a long day. The cashier (Nicholas) was apparently to be keeping track of the orders coming in and wrote down an order number on each new order. During the time that we were there, they had about 11 orders come through. Apparently, he couldnt count past seven, and kept writing order number 07 on multiple orders so when they said order number 7 is ready multiple customers thought their food was ready. Even though the sign said the restaurant was open until 7 pm, new customers who came at 6:45 pm were turned away and were not served. The cashier was too busy goofing off, avoiding work and talking to the cashier at the Caseys portion of the store to be bothered with doing his job. This is the only A & W Restaurant in the area which is the only reason we ever go back and each time we are disappointed with the conditions of the restaurant, the poor attitude of the employees and the slow, unacceptable service.

Love the food super nice people behind the counter got chili cheese fries with my meal there was barely any chili or cheese but they were very accommodating and added more I only got a half cup with pop cause I planned on getting a refill after my meal on my way out but the impatient cleaner removed all the faucets off the pop machine 2mins before closing I asked if we could get a refill she said no told her I would of got an actual full cup if I would of known she responded "not my problem" then she walked out the back door I wasted $ on a partial meal

Pathetic is the most accurate word. The piece of chicken in my sandwich was about 2x2 inches, with a tiny smattering of brownish lettuce. Chicken had zero seasoning and tasted like it had been microwaved instead of grilled. Fries were okay. Coleslaw tasted like it was getting pretty near its expiration date. Way over-priced "food." The dining area was filthy to boot. This is NOT the A&W I remember from years ago. Next time Ill just get a few-day-old sandwich from the attached gas station.

After specifically ordering a onion and mayo free burger our burger came with both the lack of listing skills is disgusting if someone had food allergies they wouldnt care and we knew better then to complain because then yes it would come onion and mayo free but it would also come with spit the root beer float and the chicken was amazing but the dining room was filthy it was a horrible experience and I will not be coming back

If i could put less than 1 star i would. This was the dirtiest a&w restaurant I have ever seen. The pop machine was broken and wouldnt shut off and pop went all over my daughter and the floor. They wiped it up but not nearly as well as it should have. The staff was polite but due to the cleanliness of the place I may never visit a&w again!
