This is a fantastic restaurant, although it would be hard to guess looking at the exterior signage promising sushi, pho, and other vaguely pan-Asian foods. Even stepping inside, one can be fooled by the quaint, tiny, and often quiet interior. What one must keep in mind is that, despite the overly broad claims out front, this is a Burmese restaurant. There are delicious fried appetizers, soups, and stir fries. The portions range from filling to collossal, and the prices are to my eyes unbelievably low. There are also satisfying beverages, like the Burmese sweet tea or coffee. I have always been satisfied eating here, although be prepared to wait a while for your meal. The staff is small, and I get the impression that the menu may be aimed more at an immigrant population. Do they serve sushi still? I dont know, and I wouldnt care to try it. Maybe they overreach to appeal to a broader audience. But their Burmese dishes are great and nice variety for the area. Everyone should give it a try.

My wife and I have visited Kimu’s several times over the past few years. The food is ok and usually the service is hit and miss. We liked it because they are close to us. We’ve noticed on our last view visits that the owner’s family and friends are take care of first. Our last visit on July 4th of 2016 we placed our order, two families entered the restaurant after we had placed our order and they were severed food first, we sat waiting for 40 minutes and still no food. We also noticed that one of the tables received the exact same food as we had ordered, again these folks entered the restaurant after we had ordered or food. As a result, we just got up and left and will never visit this restaurant again, it is very frustrating. Instead we went to Pho’s Egg Roll number 1 in Beech Grove, the food is 10 times better and the service is awesome.

My husband and I came in for our first time, it was highly recommended. But we are NEVER going back. The noodles from the pho smelled like burnt (..who burns noodles??) When my husband addressed this to the girl, the mother Im guessing at her "desk" started yelling and saying too "much complaints", later she brought us the check and said "everything good?!" My husband addressed to her the noodle incident again and she says "I dont care! Next time you dont order that! Next time go other place" I just laughed, and we left.. yeah never going back.

I have visited this restaurant a few times before and had really good Pho. I went to take my son tonight for his first bowl of Pho. It was 7:30, well before their advertised closing of 8pm. We walk in and were told they were only taking "to go" orders. What??? We drive all the way up there and they were OK with turning us away. Fortunately, there is another Pho restaurant only about a mile away. So we went to Pho Lai and had great Pho. I will go back to Pho Lai. Kimu, not so much!

Asked for Pho Tai & they didnt have it. So, we ordered the Pho with sliced eye or round. Instead, they decided to give us the Kimu special with all different kinds of meat. Steak was sliced THICK for Pho (and already cooked... ?). Instead of the usual hoisin & chili paste, we were simply given sweet chili sauce. For pho? I also asked for extra jalapeno slices while my wife did not. Somehow we both got the same amount. We will go back for a free replacement, but never again.

I really hope that business for Kimu picks up. This was our first time eating here and we will absolutely be back. We ordered the stir fried rice noodles and also the pork with pickled mango. Both dishes were really delicious, and I am looking forward to lunch tomorrow when I get to eat the leftovers. I hope more people will give Kimu a try. Youll be glad you did!!!

Pho is good. One time I called at like 7:00 (they close at 8pm) and I asked for a to go order of pho. Basically told me no. I went to egg roll #1. They pho cd me right. Girl that serves is always sweet though. Pho is good if you have cash to burn.

atmosphere was weird. I got a dragon roll & spicy tuna roll & fried tofu- three standards I like from almost everywhere. not here. mushy tofu, under fried & the fish was warm and a little discoloured. will not be back- shouldve gone to Yats.

Only thing they are missing is my favorite burmese dish. Oh-no-cow-swey (curry chicken with coconut milk and lemon grass with noodles)
