I really like HuHot and go there quite often. I enjoy the atmosphere but also sometimes get carryout and can generally get enough food to last a whole day by stacking the food in my bowl strategically. Ive read some reviews about their food not being fully cooked or them not enjoying their meal. Well... heres the thing... you make your dish so if you do not like it maybe you need some help in putting together a dish that tastes good. It is the nature of this business that the cooks are cooking a lot of different food at once. If your meal isnt fully cooked take it back! I would occasionally make mistakes too if I had to prepare so much food at once. The staff have always been very friendly to me and my friends and family. Ive perfected my own sauces that I really like when combined with certain ingredients. It takes a few tries to find what you really like here so if you just try one plate and blame Hu Hot for the bad food it is your own fault for not being patient and finding a combination you like or eventually love. I prefer BDs Mongolian Barbecue on Allisonville Rd in Indianapolis but this is a great option for people in Bloomington!

HU HOT MONGOLIAN GRILL: Dont go! When we walked in, the black vinyl bench seats were filthy and there were balls of hair all over the carpet - this was just in the entryway. Got to our table, ordered drinks, and got up to go pick up our bowl to put in what we wanted cooked - looked and the bowls were FILTHY - dried food stuck all over them - Lisa started going through the bowls on the table (which was also FILTHY) and there were 32 bowls and EVERY ONE of them had dried food on them. It looked like theyd only gone through a rinse cycle and dry cycle - no wash! Lisa called the manager who came and started going through the bowls - the ones at the bottom were even worse!!! I looked at Lisa and said "Im going to pass on eating here" and she said the same thing so all of us just went and got our purses and wound up going somewhere else. This place was nasty.

Wait staff and cooks are awesome!! The general manager is covered in prison tats and was cussing on his phone. We then saw him vaping outside. Very unprofessional and really sketchy. Very over priced since everything ends up looking brown. Huge holes all over the floor and the bathrooms were a nightmare. Tip your server and cooks. They make server wages which at a buffet means people think they shouldnt tip. They should though!!

Meh, meh, meh. Didnt serve us rice which the menu said came with. Then after we asked for it, it was terrible. Food was edible, no desire to ever go back. Imagine if you had to choose a combination and then wait for china buffet quality that will always disappoint your preconceived notion. This is Hu Hot. Would rather eat china buffet right across the parking lot. If you havent tried it, at least go once.

We had a large group of 17 people. The waitress stopped her service after putting everything on one check even though we did not ask for it. We had to write everything down ourselves and make them break it up, hand out all the checks, collect the cards, take them to the front, bring them back and hand them out again ourselves. Took forever. Doesnt make any sense. The restaurant was less than half full.

Absolutely awesome. Its a buffet of whatever you want - chicken, beef, pork, sausage, and on with your preference of noodles and vegetables. You can make use your own combination of sauces (which is sweet) or use one of the cards that have some recipes for you. Have been here three times, and if you go during a weekday, lunch is around $10 with tip for an all you can eat.

Options for your bowl is good and grill staff is nice. Service staff has no idea what they are doing. Everytime its a problem with them. I really wish they would just let me get my own drink and pay upfront so I wouldnt have to deal with them. Wait staff easily adds 15+ minutes to your meal time due to their lack of checking on you.

I love this restaurant! Been to it a couple times and both times Ive had great service. If youve never been, its like a combination of "all-you-can-eat" and a Japanese steakhouse, but with stir fry. You fill a bowl with refrigerated food options and they grill them right in front of you on a giant, don-nut-shaped grill.

Huhot is unique in the fact that you create your own mix of meat, noodles and vegetables to make a meal that is cooked pic the spot. While this makes the experience and food unique, it does take several times to find a good recipe. Service is alright, but the system does get bogged down if the restaurant is packed.

More like poohot. All the protein was frozen so when they cooked it it became hard and gross The sauce section was filthy and my hands are still sticky. The way they "clean" the turners between dishes is pretty gross, they wipe them off on the side of the grill and move to the next dish

Great variety possible with many good quality meats, veggies and sauces, all custom stir-fried while you watch. The all you can eat aspect is fun but can be time consuming. Great for big groups of adventurous eaters. Bad for anyone with allergies.

I love the food here. Unlimited food with lot of veggies and meat to select from. The last time I visited, my card was charged twice and I had to visit again to get that removed. (I received a gift card when I visited again)

HuHot is amazing! Weve always had great service. My kids can go and pick out what they want and its not a fight to get them to eat their veggies. I love the variety of drinks and the atmosphere is always pleasant.

Its a bit pricey if you just want one plate, like me, but the product is fresh and tasty. I go because I can make a reasonably healthy and simultaneously fiery hot plate fairy fast before going to work.

An enjoyable Mongolian experience, and having Coca-Cola Freestyle available is sweet, but the food here just doesnt stick with, like stereotypical Chinese food...in a few hours itll leave you HUNgry.

All you can eat Mongolian grill! You can choose your own combination of meat, vegetables and sauce. Its enjoyable but you should only go if youre really hungry, otherwise its not really worth it.

Awesome! My wife and I brought 8 kids - we all loved it! Very healthy, flavorful, and completely customizable. They were fast and super sensitive to food allergies. Id give 6 stars if I could!

Good service, not great. VERY neat for the kiddos. Good food... when crowded they have a hard time keeping the rice noodles filled. Have to go when a birthday is going one. Whos hot, hu hot.

Its a nice place to eat every once in awhile. It is definitely better quality than most all-yocan eat buffets. I think the most difficult aspect is some of the inappropriate meal names.

It was so bad. I would not recommend this to anyone. It tasted like something you might find at a nasty college campus restaurant thats getting close to going out of business.
