Best pizza you can get in the area bar none although pricey. Be prepared to wait an hour for your pizza especially on days with football or hockey games. I dont mean this negatively as the pizza is worth the wait. All variations of their pizza crust are delicious. Unbeknownst to pizza novices the Chicago area has an area-specific crust flavor and texture due to the unique natural yeasts that we have living in our local atmosphere, partially due to our proximity to one of the Great Lakes. This said the most important part of any Chicago style pizza is the crust. White Cottage nails it. Other menu items are pretentious due to their cost/quality ratio. The mozzarella sticks, fried mushrooms, onion rings, etc are obviously precooked and frozen however you are charged prices that reflect fresh food. (Then again, if youve ever worked in the biz fresh food is always cheaper than frozen food.) Their Italian restaurant omits a "high-class" vibe but the fare is also pretentious and overpriced. $6 for a glass of Sutter Home? I gave them 4 stars because the pizza merits it. The Italian kitchen can be out-cooked by anyone fresh out of culinary school following a few basic culinary principles. I dont mean to hurt anyones feelings but these are not your grandmas recipes and you cant convince me otherwise. I know what canned and frozen food tastes like. One way or the other this place is an absolute gem in the area and despite some of my harsher words, I gladly give these people my money for pizza during winter months when I cant grill my own. (Yes, I said grill)

The girl working on August 4th 2017 after 8:30PM (Kristin) i believe......RUDE !!!!! Our order was messed up and a pizza was missed. After 1 pizza arrive i called to find out what happened to the other one. No type of apology, no type of compensation (except waiving the delivery fee which we already paid for the first pizza anyways) NOT someone who should be working in customer service. We have been customers for about 2 years and order about 1 time per week (typically) .... was not expecting to get the cold shoulder/attitude when YOU messed up on the order. We are a family of 7 (5 kids) ... so for a simple 2 pizza order to be messed up and not made right, so wrong ... I gave 2 start because the 2nd delivery driver was very nice and apologized multiple times for the mess up. Even though it was not him who messed up in the first place. Very cowardly to have the delivery driver to say sorry instead of the girl who is on your front end, taking your orders and dealing with your customers. He should stay, the girl taking the orders ... her and her unprofessional attitude should go! Will not order from here again not because of the food, but because of how RUDE the girl was on the phone about it. Didnt feel any emotions when i said ... half my house is eating and the other half is waiting at the table. I even mentioned to her i was going to post a bad review .... she said OK, Fine by me. Pretty sad thats who you have representing your company. Again, not even an apology by her. So RUDE

Didnt love the way I was treated when I came in. Came in to order to go. Ive never been here. I only went because they had such good reviews online. I hope the pizza is better than that service. The lady that took my order was rushing me and was annoyed I didnt understand the different kinds of crust even after showing a photo on the their menu of how I wanted the crust. She kept going back and forth saying it was double dough then saying it was thin. So I ordered thin. There were 2 ladies I specially mean the lady with dark hair that was clipped up. The other lady was very sweet. But the lady with dark hair said the crust was one way and then confused me and said it was something else. It seemed if I had any questions at all she was annoyed and huffing her breath. I asked for a menu I could take home to look over while I wait she said Ill get one when my pizza is done. It was amazing how annoyed she was seeing as though I was the only customer in person at the time. I dont think Ill be back even if the pizza is good. They need to be understanding that not every person that walks in will know exactly how they do things as each pizza place is different.……by the way the crust on the pizza once I got it was wrong. It was definitely double dough that I wanted. For someone employed they should know the difference right away.

Ive ordered from this pizzeria a few times & its been "hit & miss". The pizza I ordered a week ago arrived stone cold. I called the manager, Jessica and asked her to send the delivery person back to pick it up so she could see what it looked like. She told me no that shed credit my card. I called her back and let her know I was not interested in getting a "free pizza, this is a quality control issue. Your pizza looks like it has been sitting out for 2 days. How could this pizza have left your restaurant?" She told me she would have one of the owners call me the next day so I could advise them what is going on there. The driver came back to pick up the pizza. Neither owner has called me and its been a week. Ive spoken with people I know who go there. The feedback Ive received is that the restaurant uses low quality cheese and the owners do not care. Ill continue to go back to Pizza Palace and Robertos in Elmhurst as I have for the last 30 years. Do yourself a favor and take a pass.

Im going 4 stars instead of 5 because of price. Its difficult to say that because I still order from here so in a way its worth it but it is the most expensive pizza around (comparable type -- not including Lous or Ginos - thats different pizza altogether). Price aside it is the best pizza around by far. There are several good pizza places in the area but White Cottage is the best. Unfortunately for them, me and my guests, I only order once in a while and usually when I am eating alone -- couldnt afford it otherwise. Drop the price a bit and volume would definitely increase.

Grew up on the pizza here, back in the 70s & 80s when it was only a little hole in the wall carry out place with a small bar. Wonderful thin crust pizza. Lots of flavor. The restaurant area is very fancy looking, and they have other Italian food besides pizza. Our waiter was excellent. When I am back in town with friends from other places, I always take them here, and they love it. FYI, you get a lot of table bread when you sit down no matter what your order is.

Ordered from here few times, pizza is great. I am giving 3 stars due to some strange owners policy. Chicken wings comes in order of 8, 16, 24 etc. However when ordering 16pc or more you can not combine flavors, like 8 buffalo and 8 Asian they will charge you for 8pc and 8pc instead the price for 16. When asked I was told it is owner policy. Food is good but service can be better
