This restaurant opened in 2009 and the food was good and decent. Few years later, the owner decided to drop down the quality/quantity and raise the prices, especially on the appetizer dishes, which is unacceptable. I believe that the owner is Greek, and it reminds me of another Greek restaurant (Gyros on the Spit) which closed down recently, because the owner after opening the restaurant and making good food, he decided to drop down the quality and raise the prices. I guess, its known that Greek restaurant owners (not all of them) living under the impression that regular patrons wont realize that the food quality of the restaurant they go and eat regularly is diminished. Its terrible.

I ordered from Avli through Uber eats. Our gyros came without Tatziki sauce. So when I called them about it, the manager treated me with incredulity. He insisted whoever prepared the order for the delivery put the sauce in the bag. As God as my witness it wasnt in the bag. I did not ask for a coupon or a free meal. With annoyance in his tone, he agreed to drive over to deliver the sauce. His apology was half hearted and insincere. The food gets 4 or 5 stars. Too bad the meat got cold and so was the service. Will not order there again.

Food was good. But when I went to pick up the order I had called in for lunch, they had given me spicy feta instead of hummus. I thought no big deal, it would not be hard to swap real quick. But the man who was ringing me up argued and insisted I ordered the feta. I said "no I ordered the hummus" for the third time and then he was very rude as he switched it. I left feeling that the staff was stuck up and argumentative over a simple thing to correct. He did not apologize either. Im not sure I would eat here again.

One of my favorite restaurants on the North Shore. Amazing food. Staff and service is insurmountable. Authentic and traditional Greek plates and a whole team that knows their sourcing. I usually always get the special. Amazing fish. Their kitchen staff really cooks with passion, you can taste it on the plate. Will be a customer for the foreseeable future!

Enrique was the best waiter with a great sense of humor that make you feel at home and has wonderful suggestions of the wine, food, appetizer list complete with desserts. Great place to visit. Great place to visit take family friends with a great atmosphere. Also very reasonable prices! Had a wonderful time celebrating Jakes 62nd birthday.

It was ok, the mac and cheese was super grainy, but Im sure their other food is good. I got the yogurt but they ran out of figs and honey, which was the only reason I got it, so that wasnt great. Service was quick, but the food is pretty over priced for the quality, especially the mac and cheese. Fries were great though.

Consistently excellent, authentic Greek food Great place for dinner, and also one of the best kept secrets on the North Short for a highly civilized Sunday lunch. Wish they would bring back the fabulous lamb shank, but the new lamb shoulder on egg-plant & tomato is almost as delicious.

We come here frequently. The food is consistently good. The rooms are simple and pretty, with the tables spread out, keeping the noise level blessedly reasonable. There is a very nice outdoor seating area as well. Since we come often, I wish they had specials for variety.

Attended a 6-course dinner here with wine pairings. Absolutely amazing. Food was delicious and service was impeccable. The owner served as the host for the dinner and spoke to each table. His passion for Greek wines makes the experience exciting. Will be back soon.

Some of the best Greek food that you can find in the area (Northbrook, Wilmette, Deerfield). Lots of great dishes and good variety. We have tried the gyros, vegetarian plates, fish and a couple of the appetizers. Everything has been great.

Greek food with a little extra pizzazz! Wonderful seafood and Lake Superior White Fish! Delicious twists on classic dishes. Good wine list and fine whiskeys and liquors. Outdoor seating in season. Excellent service. A worthy stop!

Went here for lunch. Wow. Fantastic. The grilled octopus appetizer was fantastic and it was the best homemade gyros I have ever had. The patio looks like it would really good for dinner as well. Definitely coming back.

Casual setting with plenty of offerings of meat, fish, and vegetarian to suit all tastes. Big draft beer menu, but they tap was broken the night we were there. I had a bottled Greek beer that was pretty good.

A nice place with a nice staff and a nice menu. Interesting take on traditional Greek cuisine. Sometimes I wish it was more traditional and less creative, but its a very cool place in an awesome location.
