The food is absolutely scrumptious. There is a very traditional japanese menu with a touch of contemporary cousine and presentation. The moment we walked in we noticed it was a tad different from the average Japanese restaurant. We announced we had reservations and the host promptly acknowledged our presence. He asked for a moment and proceeded to ensure the parties that reserved their table at Naoki were all together. We were then asked to follow him to the restaurant through what felt like a hidden entrance through which we got a peek at the kitchen of Intro. A new up and coming restaurant which brings experts in different fields of the culinary science with every seasonal change. Once seated the menu was organized in a traditional Japanese fashion; appetizers at the top and the entrée last with a series of rolls and smaller selections to work your appetite for the main course. On my personal experience every creation presented to our table was exquisite. Our main meal was Lobster. In the past, I am in charge of helping my girlfriend removing the meat out of the shell but this wasnt the regular lobster. The Chefs at Naoki ensured that i wouldnt have to worry about enduring such labor. They cooked the lobster to such perfection; the meat almost melted out the shell and asked to be eaten. We paired our delicious meal with a bottle of 2012 Chenin Blanc and ended with a bottled of chilled Sake to ensure proper digestion. The price overall was reasonable. I would go as far as to say well priced for the intricacy of their plates and the outstanding service their waiters provide. I believe I spend at most 15 seconds with a glass of water half full, never empty. I give Naoki Sushi 5 stars for their food, 5 stars on their service and concept. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Chef Naoki is so cool! Ive been a fan since he was over at Shaws in the Oyster Bar making incredible sushi and now that he has his own place, forget about it...Im there. My favorites: -Spicy Tuna Cucumber with chili oil - stupid good -Miso-glazed Sea Bass - stupid good -Any of his Sashimi dishes are - stupid good -Also, Truffle Chawanmushi - no idea how to say it - also stupid good The restaurant is in like this secret hideaway in the back of the Intro kitchen and its so fun and chill. Naoki is quickly becoming an authority on sushi and Japanese food in not only Lincoln Park, but in all of Chicago. Its a must visit for all tourists and travelers who love good food, great music and crazy expensive dishware. I think the plates that they served my sashimi on were like some crazy expensive stuff from Italy or something. The dish itself came out cold...made the food taste better...just saying...stupid good. Ill be back and I hope my seat at the sushi bar will be waiting for me along with lots and lots of stupid good sushi and some sake too. Oh, wait! I forgot, they have a bunch of cool Japanese Whiskeys that I didnt get to try because I had a lot of sake...save some of that for me too Naoki. Cheers!

Ambiance: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Overall Quality: 5/5 Went in on a Wednesday night and asked if Chef Naoki would be willing to do omakase that day, and he kindly agreed. The room had a consistent flow of customers but not too crowded which was nice for a Wednesday night. Food was superb. It is hard to find this quality of sashimi and nigiri in the Midwest where overly sauced rolls with too many frills takes over the sushi scene here over the traditional simplicity of the Japanese style. My boyfriend who is Japanese couldnt stop complimenting the chef for the wonderful umami flavors and high quality seafood that complimented so well as omakase is chefs selection. The wait staff found out it was my birthday and all personally signed a happy birthday card for me, making the experience feel personable and welcoming. We will be coming back to there soon to try their other offerings such as their dinner sets.

Naoki is the best sushi restaurant Ive been to in Lincoln Park and Chicago. Naoki himself is a fantastic sushi chef with a creative spirit and hes built an outstanding menu. Sushi in Lincoln Park will never be the same. The north side has lots to offer, but outside of great food, Naoki Sushi has a killer atmosphere. Its in the back of another restaurant and you go through a kitchen to get there. Its crazy. The sushi bar is my favorite place to sit, but the rest of the restaurant is a lot of fun too. Every time Im in Chicago I make a pilgrimage to the north side to enjoy this Lincoln Park gem.

Naoki is THE sushi spot in Lincoln Park! Its like a beautiful, sushi speakeasy. You literally have to walk through another kitchen to get to it. They have the best sushi! The fish is so high quality and fresh - and the service is so detailed and attentive! Its such a fantastic experience - I cant recommend it enough. MUST get the edamame guac, the uni, and the salmon naoki-style sashimi. Love it!

Naoki is one of the better sushi restaurants in Chicago, although it falls short of being in my top tier. The interesting thing is that any sort of omakase must be ordered in advance...although I appreciate that certain items must be prepared in advance, sometimes I just want nicely prepared courses of nigiri. Otherwise, good service, good quality of fish, although the rice misses the mark.

If you are looking for the best sushi in Chicago, this is your place. The secretive, hidden restaurant and sushi bar is super unique and fun. I love it for an intimate date or with a group of friends. Faves include the edamame guac and all of the Naomi-Style sashimi. If you are a true sushi connoisseur, you must try Naoki.

Naoki is both super cool and super delicious. You walk through the kitchen at Intro (also cool & delish) to get to the tiny restaurant. The sushi is top quality, beautiful and so so good. They have a great sake list and the cocktails are great too. Definitely a "cant be missed" spot in Lincoln Park.

Hands down the best sushi in Chicago. The fish is so fresh! You enter through the kitchen and it feels so exclusive. We sat at the sushi bar and chatted with Naoki himself. So fun! If you are looking for a high end sushi experience, Noaki is the place to go.

Hands down best sushi in Chicago. I had a little of everything, all the sashimi in particular stood out. Very cool location, you go through the kitchen to get inside. Cozy and warm, perfect for a romantic night out.
