This is our new favorite restaurant in Wilmette. Weve been here four times in the last three weeks. The food is fantastic. The rock shrimp crustini appetizer is not to be missed. Delicate texture pops with flavor. The grilled calamari has great flavor and texture (opposite of rubber bands). I think its the best Ive ever had. It comes with arugula and wonderful grilled zucchini and yellow squash planks that I really love. Ive had really great filet Mignon with sautéed spinach and grilled asparagus here a few times. I also loved the whitefish with spinach and pomodoro sauce. Guys love the pot roast which is a generous portion. They also love the penne pasta dishes. Love that they open at 4 pm for early dinners!

If you are looking for an Italian dining experience, try Gusto of Wiimette Restaurant,. You will be wonderfully surprised and very glad you made the choice. I have dined in some of Rome;s better Trastevere Trattorias. Gusto Wilmette has the ambiance, well-trained and solicitice table service, well designed menu and excellect wine choices that you can only find among the best in Rome. It truly provides an Italian cuisine experience which the entire family can enjoy. It is a great place for celebrating anniversaries, birthdays, weddings or other family events.

Aside from tasty food and quality service, one main attribute I look for in a restaurant is when a restaurant takes the time to get to know you as an individual (or a family), and Gusto Italiano hits the nail on the head. Ive been dining at Gusto Italiano in Wilmette since it opened, and I already have my fair share of positive memory burns. Its a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Their food and wines are above-standard, and their team is professional, and friendly. By the way, I highly recommend their signature (liquid-gold) Bourbon sour perfected by Heather.

Gusto offers delicious Italian cuisine and a fine wine list at reasonable prices, along with friendly, attentive and skillful service, a pleasant and attractive ambiance and a winningly warm personal touch. Equally good for groups of friends and for families. Private rooms are amply sized and well appointed. Menu has a broad selection, is well designed and easy to use. Gusto compares favorably to the best Italian restaurants Ive experienced. Top choice, 5 stars across the board! Ill be back and will recommend enthusiastically. In fact, Ive already done so.

Great attention to the little details, every dish our party has is very nice. For example: the house wine is great. The vinaigrette dressing is made there, you can just tell. Delicious brucchetta. A gem of a restaurant.

Upscale place, with chill vibe and kinda expensive food. Wqs able to enjoy the company of my friends and were not overly disturbed with "is everything ok?" Nagging thathappens in many other places. Good.
