I found this particular Japanese restaurant through Amazonlocal with $30 spend on food/drink $15 coupon. This restaurant resides on a quiet street and it’s very easy to miss. If the weather permits, you can dine outside the restaurant, theyve got tables/ chairs setup for you. The times I have been here are always in the evenings, and it’s a pretty good place to bring a date here since the lighting inside is pretty warm, relax, and dim. Every time I go to a Japanese restaurant I will make sure they have chirashi, assorted fillets of fish served on top of sushi rice, on the menu because I love sashimi and to me I think chirashi has the biggest bang for the buck. When the chirashi arrived, I was amazed how generous portions of sashimi they served. Each sashimi was not cut too thin and the size of it was moderately generous. Sashimi was fresh, and everything else was succulent. Also I almost forgot to mention that the dish looks appealing that you would want to take a picture of it how well it’s decorated, It’s quite colorful. Ever since I have been to this restaurant, I have always ordered chirashi so I haven’t had the chance to try out other dishes, but until then. I would definitely recommend anyone that loves Japanese food to come here. By the way, last time I was there the waiter offered us sample dish free of charge. It was very nice of them to try out chef’s latest work.

After failing to see their menu online, we decided to try carry out anyway in an attempt to find better sushi in the northern suburbs. Im glad we did, as the sushi and miso soup were fantastic. The menu wasnt the biggest, but it still had enough options, and both veg and fish rolls were great. While picking up our food, it was easy to see how this place can be missed. The small space is on a quieter street in downtown Wilmette, dimly lit for a small dinner crowd. We will definitely come back again, especially since the website is up and running again.

Gross! Place had all these awards, etc. Its obvious people have no ideas what good sushi is. The temperature of the sushi was as if it came directly out of the refrigerator, very little salmon and tuna, very bland and nasty. Their idea of shrimp shumai is shumai with a piece of shrimp on it. I labored through the garbage, never again and definitely way over priced, but we are in Wilmette. If you want real sushi at a great price, visit any HOT WOKS COOL SUSHI in Chicago becauae this place sucks!

Great discovery! We took our daughter and her friend here and all had a first rate experience. The food (sushi, tempura and Udon noodles) were all very good. Prices are very reasonable and quite a bit lower than 2 other well rated Japanese restaurants we considered. Attentive service too. Special surprise was a delicious whitefish tempura on the house! We will go again on our next visit to the area.

Food was ok, but I paid almost 20 dollars for two rolls of shrimp tempura when I was led to believe itd be 2 rolls along with misu soup and rice. The presentation was also a miss, my rolls where falling apart and there was barely any shrimp.

Kelly and Akira are awesome. This cute little sushi spot is great for eating in and take out, definitely my favorite resteraunt in Wilmette. The lunch special are priced (too?) reasonably, and there is huge variety for dinner.
