A cute restaurant, friendly staff and good drinks. The food? NOT GOOD! From the too-greasy tortilla chips to the amazingly bland food (almost like they TRIED to make it taste like nothing), the food is just so bland. Tonight we had the tilapia salad, a burrito, and ceviche. None of those things had any flavor. I asked the server (bus boy actually, server never came back) for dressing for my salad, as I assumed the kitchen has just forgotten to put it on. Out came the dressing and guess what? Oh, it was supposed to taste that bland. We barely touched our food, yet didnt ask for doggie bags, and the servers never asked why. Apparently thats the norm here. We are desperate for a good restaurant in downtown Wilmette; sadly I dont think this is it.

Weve been to this Restaurant 4 times in the Past!! Never had a bad experience their before I came theire with my family tonight. We ordered are Guacamole Appetizer and it took 20 minutes to be brought to us!! Then my sister that is pregnant ordered a Chipotle Chicken and we specifically said no spices and they brought it to her extra spicey!! Charlie the so called manager was very unprofessional and said to my sister what would you like me to do take it off or bring her a new one. He was very mean and did not apologize!! Also the shrimp tasted spoiled and when we were about to leave the waitress through the check at her with a mean face. Worst restaurant experience ever for my family I will never step foot in their again!!!!

Not sure how we missed this gem for the last year we’ve been living in the area, but I am glad that we stumbled upon it! Probably the best, if not one of the best Latin dining experiences I’ve had in the Northshore. As a seafood fan, I naturally went with the swordfish and was thoroughly impressed. The paella is wonderful as well! If you are a tequila enthusiast, get ready – you have many options to choose from! I loved that we could sit on the deck and it truly is a welcoming, fun and tasty place to go to when in the NorthShore.

This is the first time Ive ever reviewed a restaurant. Simply, because it was so bad. The service was awful, the waitress spilled tomato sauce on my shirt, extremely slow service, we asked several servers to clear our table, and several times for drinks, they brought me the wrong entree as well. They seemed to be extremely understaffed and never once apologized or offered to pay for cleaning my shirt or any discount for the slow service. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone and will never return.

Food is awesome, the shrimp and spinach quesadillas and the chile rellenos are excellent. The chips and salsa are exceptional. I think the service is way below average. I dont think that they were trained properly. Maybe the are sick of dealing with attitudes, but if the service was better- it would be one of my favorite.

Great Margaritas and fish tacos. Some of the other dishes are middling, but generally a great indoor - outdoor experience with a large porch that is fun to eat on, even in light rain, then enclosed during winter months. Margaritas are expensive but strong and delicious, and worth every penny!

We love Depot Nuevo. They have outstanding latin food, such as awesome tacos, enchiladas, and guacamole. The margaritas are wonderful. The building is very cool as it is the former Wilmette train depot and it has the best outdoor dining porch you will find.

Nice people. But the chips tasted like they were made in old oil or something. My dog wouldnt even eat it. The salsa is very watery! The cheese app is really good. But the veggie burrito was not to my liking. Is go back for apps and drinks.

The service was wonderful. . They have a very large attentive staff. The guacamole was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meals a lot and look forward to returning for another mesl. More vegan options would be a great addition to their menu.

Great find "hidden" in an historic building in Wilmette. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Creative chef..... not afraid to experiment.....A most enjoyable dining experience in the suburbs with a "city feel" to it.

Hands down the best restaurant in Wilmette. Always love the food, the drink choice, the atmosphere, and the staff is always super friendly. Sitting out on the patio with a margarita when its warm is divine.

Its a great spot for Gluten Free Dairy Free fare, the service is warm and attentive, the staff is extremely knowlegable about tequilas and their unique qualitirs. Charlie makes the best margaritas!

Great burritos, and great chips and salsa. The regular margarita was too sour but they do make their own sour mix from fresh limes daily. The speciality margaritas were great but a bit expensive.
