Popular with locals and visitors alike, this location is a long time fixture in Waukegan. I was there for breakfast. Great variety of American and Mexican style breakfast dishes combined with many other Mexican dishes make for a wonderful choice. Breakfast is served with chips and salsa. You have a choice of American style toasted bread or tortillas to accompany a huge serving of whatever you order. The coffee was very good not like brown hot water at many run of the mill breakfast places. Any place that showcases an open kitchen is a winner in my view. Try it.

Where to start on how much of a joke this place is... 1. The waitress had us wait about 20 minutes before we got to order be she had eyes for tables that were ordering drinks. Wrong move, drunks tip less anyway. 2. Authentic mexican restaurants serve their chips warm, the ones we got were cold. 3. And last but not least, even after the wait to place the order, we waited around another 1hr and 27 minutes before we decided to get up and leave. The place is a joke if you do decide to go, trust me.

This place is criminal. I ordered 2 burritos with cheese lettuce and steak, the cheese was crap, the steak was dry, and you cant really mess up lettuce. I ate my first burrito and once I started the second one, it tasted god awful. I ended up eating half of it and on the drive home I threw it out the window. It wasnt worth putting it in the trash.

I was eating those chips with salsa that they srve before the meal and when i scoop fhe salsa and took a bite a pice of big glass was inside my mouth so i told the waitress and she just brought another one but that was not the point so becareful when you go there cos im not coming back

Best Mexican restaurant you will ever eat at. Simple. I wish they had this chain nationwide. Chips and salsa (given complimentary at beginning of each meal) are the best chips and salsa. My favorite dish is the Enchilada dinner...1 steak, 1 chicken 1 cheese.

The food was ok ill eat there but ill take it to go. After we got our food the waitress never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks or anything else. We waited almost 1/2 an hour to get at least some water.

Ordered some menudo and was very disappointed when there was no haminoy in it. I have never had it like that. Not saying it wasnt good, but for the price I paid, I should have had everything in it.

excellent food at very reasonable prices. definitely one of the top restaurants in the city. my favorite is the Bisteck Ranchero, at $13.99 a great and affordable dinner.
