Amazing hidden gem of an ice cream shop! Tons of flavors to choose from, they have traditional milk based ice creams as well as water based ones that are more like a sorbet. They have common flavors as well as lots of tropical fruit flavors like mango, lime, and pineapple, and some interesting ones like avocado, corn, and even a cheese flavored ice cream. (Try it, its actually really good!) They offer little free tastes so you can pick a flavor you like. Their specialty is chamoyada, which is ice cream, usually mango flavored, topped with chunks of fruit, a sweet red sauce called chamoy, and sprinkled with a hot pepper powder on top. Its really an interesting combination of flavors, but not everyone will like it, so if you havent had it try a small. They have so many flavors of awesome paletas (ice cream popsicles) like oreo, coconut, and strawberry, or my favorite, rice, which is like horchata (rice milk with cinnamon and sugar). Also really good chocolate dipped frozen bananas rolled in rainbow sprinkles! The banana splits are also really good, and big enough for 2 to share! The staff has always been very welcoming and helpful, and are always willing to explain any flavors or menu items you dont understand, or offer you free tastes! Plenty of indoor seating, and a couple patio tables outside too, so you can enjoy the nice weather on warm days! Ill definitely be coming back for more ice cream! Theres so many flavors that I want to try, I find myself picking flavors ahead for my next visit days in advance! Highly recommended, great for kids and adults alike!

How did I not know about this place after living in Urbana for 4 years? I dont know where to start. EVERYTHING here is awesome! Water based ice creams? Yes!! My favorites might be guava and spicy mango. Other awesomeness includes rum and raisin ice cream, frutas con chile (my favorite are mango and pineapple - you can mix and match). However, above all is the impossible cake (yes, thats really the name). Its half cake and half flan and fully awesome.

Ive been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got there for some water based ice cream. The man behind the counter was very friendly and explained everything I avoid dairy and loved that they had tons of options. The milk based ice cream looks great too and there were lots of interesting flavors of both (I got tamarind and pineapple). The paletas looked good too and Ill have to give those a try next time

Every flavor has been simply amazing. There are unusual flavors, but each is worth a try. Whether you get a popsicle or scoop style, its worth it. The fruit based ice creams are simply out of this world. Make sure to try the Chamoyada, a Mexican dessert that may seem strange at first, but the more you try it, the better it is and youll probably be back for more and recommending it to people.

This place is a gem in the C-U area and I highly recommend that anyone who enjoys ice cream should go here for their awesome mix of traditional and unique flavors. Their RICE paleta is basically horchata in popsicle form and my partner loves their coconut and avocado flavors. The owners are so sweet and patient while I struggle through the process of sampling and picking a flavor.

Such an awesome find! Exotic and delicious ice cream flavors include mango, passionfruit, coconut, cheese, corn, avocado, with option of hot pepper! I dont do it justice with my description, but this shoppe is definitely worth a visit! Friendly service, good prices, plus theres even hot authentic Mexican food available if you want something more substantial. A gem.

Ive been in town for one year and am angry that I just found this place. The water based ice cream is explosive in flavor. The torta was filling and fantastic. And the people who own the store are so very helpful. A must for anyone living or visiting.
