Great bar but they seem to shoot themselves in the foot... Ive been twice, first time to try out the drinks and food, 2nd time to see if would be better and watch the Blackhawks... Good selection of draft beers but the two I ordered were cool, not cold. First one had a fruit fly in it...if youve ever watched Bar Rescue...enough said - doesnt matter if your bananas are getting old, thats NOT the problem! The 2nd trip was to meet a friend, we both ordered vodka with a mixer...it was mostly mixer...remedied by ordering a bottled beer - done. The food was decent, though I was tipped as to what not to order, which seemed to be about 1/3 of the menu items. The burger was ok, I guess I expected better for $10...sides were average, homemade chips were good. Unfortunately, the first visit was a family birthday celebration...once the Bulls pre-game started, the volume got cranked (throughout the place) and conversation became next to impossible, unless you wanted to shout across the table - which we didnt. Even the commercials remained at full tilt...the upside was that it finally drowned out the video poker machine that was malfunctioning in the corner and for some reason, couldnt be turned off or turned down (not sure why they have the machines in there anyway, takes away from what exists of the environment). The Hawks game was a repeat of the atmosphere, only this time the smoke from the outdoor patio seemed to waft in every time the door opened, which was often. The wings were good (hot and garlic), but would have been better sans smoke. The volume (again) was a deal breaker, especially commercials at full tilt and an intermittent DJ that made a production out of giving away a shot for a correct trivia answer. I usually do a One and Done when trying out a place thats new, unless its recommended by someone in the know. Twice was more than enough, overall grade D and highly unlikely to return or recommend.

We went here after a wake at the funeral home next door. When entering we were greeted by a waitress who informed us the kitchen was closed because their cook didnt show up. We asked if we could order food elsewhere and spend money for drinks. She said no and that wed have to eat it in the parking lot. Half of our group left to get food and half stayed. When we returned roughly an hour later, another customer was served food in front of us. We questioned the waitress because we were informed that the kitchen was closed. She was extremely defensive and went on about how the owner was cooking the food earlier but it became too overwhelming for him and the other patrons ordered their food before the kitchen closed. Seemed odd to me. The half of our group that stayed was irritated when we returned because of their interaction with this place while we were getting food. The tap was also "broken" and they were only serving bottles and mixed drinks. The waitress seemed frustrated and was not very hospitable. She was very rude about getting everyones IDs before taking any of our orders - there was like 8 of us who came back from getting food. All in all, none of the 20 people I was with will be returning. Its a shame but everyone was very unhappy with the experience. Id cut the place some slack if the service was friendly and apolgetic instead of rude and defensive.

The experience itself was horrible. We had a party of 12 for my father in laws birthday. This was a disappointment as the food seemed decent and their were a lot of options for everything (food, beer, kids menu). However we had mentioned to management twice that the service was bad and management didnt even come to the table after talking with them (I had to get up and actually seek out management). The table behind us had the same issues and when they asked the server about their beer he grabbed it from the bar and just handed it to them to walk it back to their table by themselves. Then we wanted to order Mac & Cheese bites they were not available and so we order Mojitos waited, waited, waited and asked where they were and then they advise they were out of the mix. My daughter waited over 15 minutes to get her soda and she is only 3. The rest of the evening the waiter would come by and would start to walk away before any of us could ask for another drink. So he would have to come back several times and we would have to keep waiting. They didnt even comp us or apologize for the service. Based on our experience I dont think any of us would return.

Do not knownhow this place stays in business. Dont order the shrimp, they dont have it, dont order the spinach dip, they dont have it, dont order the cheese curds, dont have it, dont ord the turkey, they dont have it. No Stella, no hackershoor, no regular fries BUT they will in fact up charge you for sweet potato fries. Really, you cant send someone out for a sack of potatoes? Im guessing everything is frozen. Instead you will get tots, which wouldnt have been too bad if they werent fried in week old oil. If you need to get your check just go outside as Im sure you will find them smoking their cigarettes. Someone needs to teach them how to run a business as the bar itself has a great design bit it stops there.

Place is OK - We moved to the neighborhood in May, Fireside is a quick drive away. We thought this would replace our previous neighborhood bar in Bartlett... but service was always slow here. We went back a few times because someone gave us a $100 gift certificate thinking we liked it the 2nd time we went...it was more of a convenience option... Food is decent. We went back a handful of times hoping things would improve... then the last time we were there beer on tap was broken...only bottles available and then suddenly a week or so after they closed... Now I guess they have re-opened but we have not visited... maybe theyve improved.

We have gone to this place a couple of times because it is conveniently located for us. However, we will not be returning. Every time we go, I ask for a beer that is on the menu, and they NEVER have it available. Most times, even my second option isnt available. Staff is not apologetic about this inconvenience and seem annoyed that I would even ask for a beer thats on the menu... Bought two beers and my bill was $15...pretty pricey for a bar in the suburbs. Service is overall poor. Staff is not friendly, and will keep you waiting. I wish this place would do well because it would be great to have a local bar to go to.

Food was good. Service was poor. We visited on St Patricks Day. Once we got our food our server rarely returned to our table, he just did walk bys. Took 30 min to get him to bring a check. Then another 10 min for him to return to get our card. A member of our party went to the restroom and saw him taking a smoke break. We would return for the food but request a different server. Also it was not busy. Our server had only 2 tables that we saw, had a 3rd but they left because it took too long for them to get their drinks.
