The staff is not especially friendly, nor helpful, the prices are outrageous, and their security staff assaults the patrons. I patronized this bar from time to time but this is not something I will be doing again any time soon. After about an hour of socializing in the dark, crowded bar, to celebrating a friends birthday we decided the time had come to call it a night and headed for the back door exit. I walked out and held the door for a friend for longer than the bouncer was happy with and he asked me to close it. I responded with a sarcastic remark as I was waiting for a friend to exit with me. My friend exited and as I turned to walk away I was shoved full force from behind by a member of the bars staff! I was thrown to the ground resulting in significant lacerations on my forehead as my head struck the ground. As I moved to get back to my feet I was shoved to the ground A SECOND TIME! Between being shoved to the ground two times I sustained other significant injuries, such as substantial bruising and pain in my knee when I bend it certain ways. I tried to get up a third time and in an attempt to protect myself and remove myself from the situation a sort of scuffle/wrestling match ensued which was broken up shortly there after by another individual. I was informed that the police were coming and indeed they were there shortly. I explained to the police what happened which was corroborated by multiple witnesses. Considering what happened I assumed the bouncer would be arrested or cited for assaulting me. After an "investigation" I was issued a $500 fighting ticket instead. If you value your money, do not spend it here. If you value your health, do not visit this establishment. If you value your dignity, chose another business to patronize. As far as the food goes, I have never eaten there, so I cannot speak to that. Even if the food is sensational though, I could not justify patronizing Pub 222 because of their atrocious staff. Make your own choice about Pub 222, Ive made mine.

Really enjoy this place. Lovely courtyard ,good bar-ish food, but really enjoy the staff the most. They do an excellent job stepping it up from neighboring bars and pubs. They hosted a wonderful party for me and the manager Cassy really couldnt have been more helpful our server Sarah was excellent as well! Keep it up 222!

Its actually great food. They have the best salads of any place in STC. The patio is awesome and service is really good. We come all the time for a beer and dinner and I cant stop eating their Spring Salad.

Great outdoor space and cocktail service on a busy Friday night. Good is okay and service inside seems to be lacking. Fun environment. Good place to bring friends and play darts, golf etc.

The wait for simple appetizers is obscene, its like the grow the potatoes during the wait. Their only saving grace is the quality of food for a bar but it doesnt make up for the wait.

My wife and I visit 222 occasionally to get a good burger. I like the tator tots and she likes the sweet potato fries. Oh and the burger is great, too!

Food was great and lots of good service. We sat out on the patio where they allow people to bring their leashed dogs. A really nice environment.

I absolutely loved the Jumbo Haddock sandwich but if they claim to be American-Irish bar they need to get more Irish whiskeys in stock.
