Went here last week to try the food and see the ambiance in hopes of booking the patio for our upcoming wedding rehearsal dinner. Disappointed to say the least! To start, the inside restaurant was SO LOUD! I am completely okay with a bar atmosphere, but you could hear everyones conversations! It may have been an echo from the brick walls and metal pipes. I am not holding that against them though because I am not sure what could have been done to change it. But it was overwhelming and over stimulating. We Ordered mazzarella 6, which were your standard typical mazzarella sticks. They were good but nothing extraordinary. I ordered a wedge salad and a side of mashed potatoes and my fiance ordered a Patty melt cooked medium. After about 20 minutes of waiting, the server came up to us and apologized for meal taking so long... she didnt know what the problem was. 5 or so minutes later she came backup to apologize again still with no food. About 35 minutes after we ordered, our food came out. She said that another couple who were sitting on the patio ordered the exact same thing as us and even though they came in later the other server made a mistake and grabbed our food which is why it took so long. Having worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years, I didnt buy that story... I think she forgot to put in our order but I wont cant prove it . Regardless, mistakes happen and its no big-deal. Except that the Patty melt was way overcooked, the salad had no dressing on it, and the mashed potatoes were cold. She never came back-to check on us and I had to stop her twice in order to get dressing for my salad. I am giving this place two stars because the food wasnt horrible, but only mediocre at best. Definitely nothing special and DEFINITELY not worth the wait. I will not return and would not recommend it to anyone who values their time, money or ears.

Recently rented out the upstairs here for my wifes surprise 30th birthday party. I became a little wary upon reading some review regarding the party coordinator, Tiffany. There had been issues, according to some reviews, with her communication, attitude, and the attitudes of the other staff and managers. I have to say that Tiffany did take a little more time than I would have liked on a few email responses, but overall, my experience with her and the rest of the staff was very positive. I had no problem being let in to set up before the party, and stopped by about 1 hour before the party began to drop off favors and decorations. The upstairs was very cool-looking, kind of industrial, very spacious and open; it easily fit the 50 people who showed up. I opted to pay the extra $75 to have our own private bartenders, which worked out great! They were very kind, attentive, and let us play music that we wanted via their bluetooth speakers. Overall, positive experience, would definitely throw a party here again. One note that I should make, for people that are looking to have a party here, is that you MUST purchase food with the party package, you can not get liquor only. The food that was supplied was ample and delicious!

I have had many great experiences here and just had to take a moment to suggest it to others. The atmosphere at Old Town is very warm and inviting, full of cheer. The owners and staff go out of their way to make it a cozy and warm bar. It features sports on television, great food, and always a smile from everyone. It is perfect for families and children, and is an ideal lunch or dinner spot when you are doing a walking tour of Geneva, Third Street and the Fox River trail. Just walk to the top of the hill on State Street, where it is very visible on the north side. It has an outstanding upstairs that is available for rent, and is a very inexpensive rental for the size of the facility, second story location looking down on State Street, outdoor patio and all the games. I find Old Town to be a must stop even for me, a Geneva resident who has eaten at most of the local eateries. Hey, if your significant other is a shopaholic, let them knock themselves out on Third Street while you grab a fresh pint at Old Town. Give it a whirl. A++

Good food and relaxed atmosphere. I have been here several times and it hasnt changed much over the years, the food is good, the drinks arent too pricey, and the interior and patio are a great place to hang out. During the nice weather they have a great 2nd story patio out back that is a great place to hang out with friends on a summer night. The interior is also nice with lots of TVs to watch if you are there for watching some sports. Food is good, have had burgers, fish fry, wings, appetizers, and flat bread pizza there just to name a few items on the menu and they were all good.

Was in there a few weeks ago and had an awful experience with the bartender. Sat at the bar and the bartender, for some reason unbeknownst to me, avoided me and my two co-workers, and kept serving everyone else at the bar ( I was only able to get one drink ordered and he did not return after seeing my co-workers and I have empty glasses). I dont know why the bartender here has such an attitude but he does not belong in the hospitality industry. The rest of the place seems nice though, but wont be returning due to an apathetic bartender.

We had a party upstairs where they have a nice open space and another bar for events. The decorating is country chic/industrial and looks very clean and stylish. This private space provides a much more quiet environment. It has its own bar and restrooms, and our poor server had a great workout running up and down the steps to get us food(they may want to consider a dumb waiter!). My coworkers said the food was amazing. They had the guac, homemade chips, nachos and some entrees.

This establishment is lucky to even get 1 star....on 6-23-17, a Friend, and myself, spent 20 mins, witnessing 4 different wait staff, service tables around us, not once was any form of acknowledgement was given to us, menu, and beverages looked interesting, but Ill never know the flavors. ..sorry Im not a 20 something hipster, but I am a good tipper, and my tip for Old Towne is, Dont pick and choose who you wait on, thats called discrimination

Went with some international co-workers and clients. Service was good and accommodating. Drinks were on par and the food was normal bar type food; meaning probably frozen and mostly deep fried. Had the hamburger and variety plate. Overall would drink here again and maybe some snacks.

My favorite place for a great Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with homemade blue cheese dressing. They also offer tater tots as a substitute to french fries. Nice atmosphere with outdoor seating during the nice weather.

The owner stood there staring at her phone on Facebook the whole time and did not pay attention to anything or care about her guests. Beer is over priced. The only nice person was a hispanic man, extremely jolly!
