Went to the alley with a group of fellow analysts from the Qcenter. Bought a bucket of domestic brews. Walked around and came back. While waiting for our ride I asked for one more bud light. They tried to take my Id saying it was fake and would not scan. I politely asked if they could scan it in front of me as I just bought drinks. They declined and told me to leave along with taking my credit card I gave them to purchase my drink even though my ID was fake. They asked me for my social security number and other personal information. I told them we could settle this with the police no problem. The quickly gave my now bent in half ID back and rushed me and my friends out of the bar with no solid reasoning. The local scum working there tried to steal my identity and got scared when I escalated to law enforcement. If you are not from St Charles I would not recommend going here. Surprisingly its hard to get service in this slow bar so I ordered a double round for the group. A couple minutes later some barback is at the table demanding our unconsumed beverages. "Guys I need the drinks" the barback says. I look at my watch and see that I still have ten minutes until closing. I reply "we still have ten minutes". Some other barback chimes in as hes wiping tables "TAKE YOUR TEN MINUTES SOMEWHERE ELSE". So we were given a choice, hand over the drinks in our hands along with fresh drinks on the table without a refund or drink them while this barback stands there watching you like hes the referee in a contest to see who can drink the fastest.

I ordered 2 rounds of 21 shots for a bday party. Both times the shots tasted as if not alcohol was in there. I asked the waitress if she could add alcohol in it. Now keep in mind i have ordered many of these drinks in my time so i know if it has alcohol or not. She said there is nothing she can do so she got the manager and i explained the situation. All he said was " pay for the drinks, or ill call the cops on you". I asked him to at least put alchol in it and he took ouy his phone to call the cops. I paid for the drinks and gave a hefty tip. Never will i come here again. Ser ice is poor and the management team is terrible.

Alley 64 has terrible service, they are extremely slow and will question your identification without any reasonable cause. When asked for a free beer in compensation for wasting my friend who is 23 years old coming back from the military they simply laughed and said this isnt a five star restaurant, water under the bridge. They simply do not care for their customer service and simply want to get you in an out the door. I recommend The Bee Hive

Always good service. Unique and tasty appetizers (never tried anything else). Good, cold beer. Good bloody mary bar (on Sunday I think). Ive seen it referred to in other reviews as kid friendly (which I dont really get) and as a biker bar. As for the latter, the décor is definitely biker-ish, but it has a contrived feel, more what youd expect if there was a biker bar in a shopping mall.

Fairly standard bar fare when I went there with my wife, daughter, and her boyfriend. It was fine; probably what you would expect. We were there on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty empty; probably what you would expect on a week day. The waitress was friendly but we didn’t see her much. I think she was focusing on other things. It’s quite a large space and they have a patio area.

Misunderstandings happen. Seriously though, if you are serving someone who misunderstands something you say, you still have to be polite. Our server literally THREW our bill on the table after ordering our first round of drinks and did not check on us once for the next hour we were there. I will never return to this bar.

Kid friendly, someone said, who couldnt have kids. IT IS A HIPSTERS bar, ave age is 22. Multiple Bars and decent bar food. Good stop for younger crowd, old folks and bikers hang in back bar patio area. Service is great if you find the right bartender. Scenery and crowd always good on weekends.

Why have touch tunes if all you play is 70s 80s and country? Skip my songs, my friends songs, okay.... food is not worth it, serving staff not the best, and the managers are the worst... this is my first review, ever, and its for a good reason.. better off going to the beehive or pub 222!

Great food, great drink selection. Biker friendly and unpretentious. Not a yuppie bar.... yet (God, I hope it never becomes one) right in the heart of St. Charles. Plenty of bike parking behind the building and bands in the summer make it a must-go when out and about along the river.

Waitress took our drink order and disappeared after waiting 10 minutes or so we informed the waitress at the table behind us we decided to leave a few minutes later and here comes our waitress without our drinks...I told my girlfriend we didnt get served because she was black.

The biker scene made me a little scared to come here, but once I had a few drinks everyone was really friendly to me. I find myself to be insecure before I start drinking. I guess it all comes back to me and my fathers relationship. Services was great.

I always wait forever for drinks. This place is always packed with peacocking guys and girls with annoying voices. I kind of jate this place, but, hey, there arent many other options in the area. Probably why all these terrible folks end up here.

Alley 64 is amazing. I go here 3-4 times a week to look at the motorcycles because my wife wont let me get one. She thinks Im at work. Great beer selection, a variety of hot sauces, and a patio with a good view of the motorcycle parking lot.

The patio and open air bar along with motorcycle only parking make this a magnet for bikers. The food exceeded expectations...get the nachos with chili and you wont be disappointed! If youre passing through St. Charles, make sure to stop in!

I hate writing bad reviews but they have some of the worst bartenders I have ever witnessed. They are more into talking with friends than serving drinks. After the same ol bad service on at least 10 different occasions I try not to go.

We were at the palatine bar last Saturday night, looking so forward to this potentially fun place. Food was GREAT. Bartenders were the WORST ever. We were begging for drinks...and the place was empty. Hope it improves before summer.. .

Great place, except that they discriminate to what they put on their tvs. I was told that the tv in back was where the tv that I wanted to watch was, where every other tv on in the place was for "everyone else." Take that as you will.

Horrible . They tried telling me my music decision was wrong after I paid 5 bucks o the juke box. She said did you look what you can play before you put your money in. No I put my money I thinking I can play all songs
