My friends and I visited this place this weekend on Saturday and I felt it was only right to leave a review. This was my first time here and I was treated with very kind servers and bartenders. The food was great, and the drinks were poured standard, not too light nor to heavy. There was a instance I would like others to know happened however and would like to clear the air. There was a band that seemed to be scheduled for Saturday evening that the manager (I presume) no longer wanted to play as he felt as if the language and lyrics of their music was inappropriate. The band members were extremely rude and inconsiderate to what looked like to be the manager. The band playing before hand did indeed not have I would say the best genre to be playing at a establishment such as this. They would be more fitted for a dive bar or rock in roll metal bar in my opinion. This seemed to be a GOOD business and my girlfriends and I will be returning.

I just move out to St. Charles about six months ago. I really enjoy going out to eat and tossing a few back from time to time. Ive visited most places in the downtown St. Charles area and pretty much enjoyed them all, but Alibi is definitely my favorite! It reminds me of a Super Lounge I used to frequent in downtown Chicago. The food is pretty good there too, I dont drink too much, but LOVE the orange mojito! Its also the only place that I found I can take my gf to dance. She loves to dance and on Fridays they have pretty good music (spun by a live DJ). The place is surprisingly BIG once you enter. It has two huge bars, seating area for dinner on the far side, a stage and sizable dance floor to your left as you walk in, and what seems to be a banquet room located in the back. All in all, I will definitely be back and dont have to drive all the way to the Gold Coast to enjoy a night out with the lady!

I am truly shocked to see the negative reviews on yelp of this establishment. I do not like to visit St. Charles bars typically anymore but when I do go out with my husband to the bars we end up here. They are the only establishment in St. Charles that has kept the pool tables which a lot of people including my friends and I enjoy! They have a punching game that my husband and his friends just love pumping money into and they even added the slot machines other St. Charles bars have added. As for the bands & djs, they always have had a good selection and the management is very careful about who they let play in their bar which I respect greatly. The atmosphere to me is always up beat and the staff is always very friendly and I have never had an issue. In addition I would just like to say I have never had a "watered down" drink here.

This is probably one of the most underrated bars in St. Charles. People dont know what theyre missing if they havent been to Alibi! The food is amazing (I recommend the fish tacos), the drinks are fairly prized and really yummy, and the staff is very nice and accommodating. I am at this bar every weekend and have NEVER had a problem. Reading these other reviews on yelp and other sites is shocking because 99% of it is false. Definitely a good venue to bring a big group to because of the size and if there ever is a sporting event they have more TVs than any other bar in St. Charles. They also have 2 pool tables. The bands are fun to listen to during dinner time and the DJ they have is really good for the night life. I would recommend this bar to everyone no matter what your age is!

Terrible place that is clearly mismanaged. Dont go especially if you are a,band looking for a gig to play. The manager booked our band without even listening to us and then cut us before we even went on to play. He indicated that he didnt like our style of music (we are a normal rock band) and based it on the metal core band that went before us. What kind of place books a band without listening to the music before hand? This one. And if you complain, the manager threatens to call the cops on you. This is a bad bad business. Plus, the drinks are really over priced and Im pretty sure they are watered down. Trust me. There are plenty of other great bars on the strip to choose from besides the Alibi.

I generally come out to the bars every weekend with friends to have some drinks and let lose from a long week. There is a nice strip of bars along this block that are all fun and different in their own way. I enjoy coming to alibi because they are the only bar that has kept their pool tables along the strip, and a dance floor! They seem to keep things updated and fun. Ive noticed they even have the slot machines and a fun photo booth now! The staff had always treated me and my friends with respect and its nice that they have live music followed by a dj with a pretty active dance floor. All in all im glad to have this bar close to home!

Went this weekend to end the year with a good time. Worst place anyone could go... First the music was so crappy, the DJ didnt know how to mix or even play anything right. The bartenders were horrible, you needed to wave your hand in front of their faces to get their attention, there were couple of times that we needed to yell at them to order our drinks, worst customer services, we didnt tip them at the end... one of the girls were giving us attitudes and eye rolling, very rude... I dont recommend this place to no one! First and last time I ever go here

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Musicians, avoid this place. The owner has his panties in a bunch with customers, gigged musicians, and staff alike. If you dont mind getting cancelled at the last minute, by all means, come here. The owner will judge an entire crowd based on one performance and kick everyone out. Do you realize the effectiveness of social media/online reviews? Get a grip. This bar isnt worth it. Small stage too.

Place is held together by duct tape pergo flooring and scum. Brought my date here and she got hit on by the owner every time I went pee. Sorry for missing the uranyl! I might of been over served by the ugly bartenders. Food was awful music was even worse and the floor is popping up in the corners... Probably should of paid a lil more for a real floor. Best thing about this place is the fox river.

This place started out great, but the bar tender got a bad attitude with anyone who ordered water. Took 15 minutes to get a cup of water and was told any more cups of water would be 2 bucks. After my whole group had been ordering drinks all night. Just a tip if someone asks for a cup of water give it to them. Unless you want people throwing up in your establishment. Very rude.
