I go here every chance I get when I am near there and they are open. Which seems to be less and less every year. Their hours are really short. Like Im not sure but I think they are only open on the weekends now. But the ice cream is really good. The lemon is my favorite. The flavor changes every week or so. But since they are only open during a short period of time, the parking lot is usually full and the line can get pretty long at times. Totally worth it though. Just wish they had better hours.

I go here regularly as part of Prairie bike clubs moonlight bike ride from Urbana to Sidney. The icecream here is generous in both quality and quantity. Their tornadoes are very famous. If you are a fruit lover like me, they have number of fruit based ice creams. Banana split tornado is my favorite. For chocolate/coffee lovers, you have equally good options. It also has a nice area for seating. Has a drive through too. Best part, its a local outlet run by a local family.

Very good ice cream place located 15-20 mins from Urbana. Definitely worth the ride, specially in busy days/hours, when the line at Jarlings is 30 minutes (or more) long. They take credit cards with no fee nor minimum purchase value. Plenty of parking, covered tables and a across-the-street grass field where you can play with a Frisbee or let the kids run around

Amazing ice cream just 15 minutes east of Chambana. Its not heavy and super creamy, like custard, but more of the lighter, icier variety. But the outdoor ordering window and covered patio a little bit out in the farmlands has all the character of summer ice cream you could want!

The Dairy Barn is one of those ice cream places that would have a line 40 minutes long if it were in a more populated area. Stopping at the Dairy Barn is a worthwhile detour when headed across I-74. The ice cream flavors are pretty standard, but the quality is incredible.

I almost dont want to share my love of the dairy barn for fear of longer lines. The ice cream is like home made, and they have an awesome variety of flavored. A real deal ice cream stand thats closed in the winter...must try though its a bit off the beaten path.

Local owned and it shows, probably the best Ice cream in driving distance from Champaign, my family and I will make the 20 min drive at least once a week in the summer for ice cream. If you time it right you can get some great sunsets on the way home.

German chocolate delight taste good with coconut. Nice place to go out and enjoy the little place in small town. If you live in CU and got a bike, your ice cream may taste better after sweating out.
