Good and bad thinngs. The orange chicken is the best Ive ever had. The beef fried rice was very good. The egg rolls are good. The delivery was fast and hot. The Beef Chow mein is terrible. Its 90% onions and 10% beef. I should have just ordered a giant pile of onions for $10 I ordered THREE ORDERS of egg rolls. The menu AND MY RECEIPT both say an order of egg rolls is 2 egg rolls. Just like every single other Chinese restaurant in America. So I was supposed to get 6 total egg rolls. I only got 3 in the bag. I called and the girl on the phone told me that "people get that confused". Ummm yeah your stating it wrong on your menu and receipts. Well, Im not sure if we will go back again.

En Lai is one of the best chinese places in the area. We have other places close-by and noone came close to this. Most of the entrees we have tried taste different... unlike some places where the meat and sauce taste the same and just put in different forms. We thought the price was reasonable as well. Again we moved from chicago and everything out there is expensive and portions are less. En lai portions are decently sized. We have been there several times for take-outs, and have been satisfied. Check out the clipper magazine for coupons and then u can get a good deal out of it. If there are 5 other chinese places in this area... En lai definitely stands out in its taste and value..

ordered take-out, the main course tasted just Ok. it was bought down by the fact that the container was filled 75% with rice. I suggest not to order the Hot and Sour soup.... it appears to be just egg drop soup with mushrooms, carrot, celery and too much red pepper completly overpowering any other flavours which wouldnt have happened if it were made properly! The place appears clean and the few vegetables in the meal were fresh and crisp.

Ordered delivery and the food was over 30 minutes late from delivery time of 45mins they gave me (i live only 5 mins from this location). The food was cold when it was finally delivered. Called to complain and then they charged my credit card an additional $8 that I never authorized! I am very upset and will never order from them again and suggest others use caution when using their credit/ debit cards there.

Really crappy food ...everything i ordered tasted like it had shrimp or some other kind of seafood in it (ordered veg egg rolls and hot n sour soup as well as sweet n sour chicken)... i repeat...it all tasted like seafood. cashier eating boiled eggs in the middle of the restaurant...just disgusting. They have two locations and are using pictures from just the shorewood locstion?

I usually order from the Joliet location,but both locations are great! The food is consistently great at, in 6 years i have NEVER been disappointed. Those is the only Chinese food I will get in the area, there are other establishments in the area, but they dont even come close.

Absolutely love this place!! Good food, and great pricing. The fact they utilice child labor (i.e. The little girl running the cash register and phone cause shes the only one that speaks "Engrish" makes this place as authentic as its title. I always tip!! God bless America!!

Come here on my lunch break alot. Straight forward chinese food. The people who run the place are nice and welcoming. I usually get the lunch specials (cant go wrong). My go to is the general tso, curry chicken, or shrimp in lobster sauce.

If you are from the area I recommend you try Enlai 59. Good portions, food is fresh made when you order. Not much of an experience to dine in but great for take home. If you like Generals Chicken I recommend you try theirs.

This is my familys go-to place when we want Chinese - sesame chicken combo meal, crab Rangoon and beef skewers all very good. Fast and expertly prepared food.
