This a review on the food, not the beer! (update below with my answer) We went to this place the first day they opened, because my husband was waiting for it to start operating for a long time. He loves beer, so there we went. First day we had a taste of the different brews on tap, everyone was happy, so we decided to come back other day for trying the food. Second time (first for the food) was a few days after. We happened to be nearby at lunch time, so we stepped in to check on the grub they offered. We ordered the Mac&Cheese fritters and two of their burgers (Marys I think). The fritters were burn, but not in the fryer, but before. The dairy product they used for the Mac&Cheese just burnt on the pan, so the thing was a mess of greasy burnt flavor thing. We sent it back to the kitchen after the first bite. We thought to ourselves: "ok, they just started, so lets give them another try with the burgers". When these ones came, they were nothing really special, the type of "meh" burger you can find in anyplace. Big disappointment on the grub part. This was two months ago or so. But to be fair, and considering they were recently opened, today we passed by this place again at lunch time, and we decided (again) to give it a try. Next time I should listen to my past me. The service was slow, without a smile and not very attentive. We ordered the mushroom burger and the Angus blue. Im not going to say anything else than it reminded me to a Culvers burger. When I pay more than 12 bucks for a burger, I expect something good, not a greasy and bland patty (I had to put some salt on it, and Im not a salt loving person!), with a bun that was clearly frozen (it crumbled apart on the first bite), and fries that were greasy and nasty. Im not paying for something I can cook way better in my own kitchen. Not anymore. Answer: I already told it was a review on the food, not the beer. And again, your beer is ok, but nothing that took us out of our minds. I reviewed on your place yesterday because I had an awful afternoon trying to digest your food. Again, greasy nasty burger with really greasy fries. First time we went to try your food we already told your waitress about the quality/cooking issues. Second time I just left, Im not going to be your food consultant just for free, Im sorry. Today I did my review in FB because I had a suggestion from the webpage to do it (one of my friends recorded our visit there in her profile and labeled me). I am sorry you dont like criticism. And again, be sure we will not come back around, so no more news from us! Have a great day

Edited to add, since someone in the management decided to reply by calling me a "jerk": Yes they offered to remake my sons burger, and they did, but by the time they brought it he just wanted to go. Also, I showed my waitress the mini bun was stale, and told her when they bring a new patty I dont want another stale bun with it, so just bring the patty alone. They replaced my fries with their coleslaw, because I didnt want to get more greasy, cold fries. The coleslaw was not horrible, but nothing great. Its different since its made with apple cider vinegar. I didnt eat neither the fries, nor the coleslaw, the waitress removed them from my table completely full. Yes, they took off the $6 kids meal, but I did not want a discount or free food, I simply wanted good food. I left an $8 tip on a $14 bill to kind of compensate them for removing the kids burger. I made a note on the receipt, hoping a manager would see it, saying: "Great service, horrible food, especially for OP." If I am a "jerk" for telling the truth on my experience at this restaurant, then thats fine! Im not the only one. I found out from a person at Carnivore in OP that they had the same experience there, and the fries were a big, greasy mess. Original post: I ate there today, and it was terrible! I am only posting 1 star because my waitress was nice! I ordered two burgers, one from the kids menu for my son. His burger was burnt, so they had to remake it. My burger was fine, other than the cheese not being melted onto the patty. What really upset me was our fries being cold. No one likes cold fries!! The pickles were also nasty. Like bread and butter pickles, with a weird brine flavor. Im really sad that this place is a bust, especially since my husand and I love burgers and beer! Mickeys near Harlem and Lake have better burgers for $2 instead of $12!!! Any burger place, especially in Oak park should serve you hot food if youre paying $12 + tax & tip for it.

No parking. Had to park 4 blocks away and walk. Waited over 5 minutes for a table, when they only had 10% of their seating in use. 15 minutes after that for a server to ask for drinks / appetizers. For plain-old burgers and fries, this place is way too expensive. 15 bucks for burger and fries (after tax and tip). Burger was burned, flavorless. Fries were straight up cold. Sent them back, they told us "Oh no! Our heat lamp bulb burned out and no one noticed". Riiiiight. Pretty hard to not notice that... Second round of fries was hot, but took 10 minutes to arrive, so my burger went from warm, to cold, to cold and eaten, by the time I got my new fries. Surprisingly the new fries were hot, but pretty bland. Doesnt frying normally make potatoes delicious? Apparently not! Do yourself a favor, go to Portillos. Youll be *much* happier. Chicken fingers felt like rubber, and looked like what you would get from the freezer section at walmart. They also gave us like 4 or 5 of them, which is sad considering they were literally the size of a womans finger -- skinny. The fried twinky was fun though, if a bit expensive. Ingredient cost of $0.50, but charge $5? Very profitable. Speakers for their showroom spent most of the evening crackling and hurting peoples ears. Their karaoke software was out of sync with the music, and crashed 3 or 4 times during the evening. I will say that the management was very considerate in allowing their karaoke employee to stay several hours past their clock-out time so that people could continue enjoying themselves. That wasnt necessary or expected, and it netted the owner another 5 or so drink purchases from the crowd. All in all, wont be returning.

We visited on a Saturday evening. There were six of us and we walked in around 6p without a reservation and we got a table no problem. By the time we left around 8p it was busier it still no wait. Food was ok but nothing special. We ordered the burger sliders and pork sliders, pork were better. We also ordered the queen mary burger and grilled chicken sandwich. The burger was average, a little over cooked, and the sandwich was again nothing special. We ordered beer flights to try all their beers. Im an IPA person and nothing stood out as spectacular and my wife, who enjoys stouts, was disappointed to find no draft stouts on the menu. Overall its an ok place, not someplace I would go out of my way to visit.

We got seated quickly and thats the only good thing i can say about the experience. Service was slow, very slow. We ordered and asked for the kids meal to be brought to the table as soon as it was ready and it came with the rest of the food 30 min later. The fries with cheese curds and scallions never made it to the table, neither did the chicken/bacon and dressing for my salad, these i did ask for and about 20 min later i got them, put them in a box and left. The food that i did taste ( stuffed pork chop from my husband) was not bad, but not good enough to make me want to come back any time soon. My husband had the leprechaun zombie beer and was not impressed.
