Finding this bar was a breath of fresh air. I have frequented after work/weekends since the summer. I love the relaxed atmosphere, beer features, cocktails (still dreaming of the strawberry basil drink from this summer) and patio (thanks for expanding!). Unfortunately, my most recent experienced was a bit of a sour one because of the service my friends and I received. The red-haired, young woman with tattoos might have been having a bad day, but I hated that she left me and my party feeling disgruntled upon leaving. As someone who has extensive experience in the food service industry, attitude is everything. You are creating an experience. Im leaving this note in hopes that management can help encourage and train this server to not roll her eyes at her tables and not to treat guests disrespectfully. As I mentioned my experience in the industry earlier, I am incredibly understanding when Im dining. I was being very friendly with her hoping she would cheer up, but it didnt help. Folks looking to visit this place, please do! All my experiences other than this one have been fantastic!

I work with hundreds of businesses here in Asheville through my job of marketing local business, and Im proud to call this my favorite bar in Asheville. I used it as my office for over a year by day and hangout and getaway by night and everything, the food, drinks, location, are fantastic but by far and away the people and camaraderie are what make this place truly special. The best thing about Foggy is while so many places reach for an identity in an ever expanding "hip" Asheville, Foggy doesnt pretend to be anything its not. It just gets everything right by starting with what matters: the people. The owners and staff have become like family to me and have treated many other people the same, and that is the reason that when most people that work downtown (such as I) get off work, the first place we want to go is Foggy Mountain Brewpub. Cheers to Sam, Chris, Rachel, and staff, I wish I could give yall more than 5 stars.

recommend by a local friend when we passed too much time jaw jackin at her brewery then needed food when most elses were closed. she said they had the best wings ever, and she wasnt kidding~ they were REAL wings, from some mondo chickens! very very tasty, and of course the typical messy, just enough to hit the spot after a chill evening spent drinking. the atmosphere: early april, 10:30+ saturday night, live music by a decent band that was the typical too loud for a small venue with bar mentality, & we luckily got the last table in the small packed bar area- (it appeared later they might have a seating area outside in back.) after i had to squeeze my way up to the bar, jump up & down to get noticed to order, the cute lil bartender that ventured out to serve us could have used a bit of a personality paired with a smile, but the food is absolutely worth a visit~ bygones of any slight annoyances.

While ambience and customer friendliness is apparent, all customers are not treated equally. Ive never had the race card pulled on me by a Caucasian while confronting a server about treating the guests differently. And it turns out the server is co owner and the gentleman who asked me to leave was the other co owner and hes the one who pulled the race card at our unhappiness. Pathetic. Asheville doesnt need this business.

Ive been to this place a handful of times now and every time I try something new, I fall in love! The chicken pot pie totally brings me back home and I always find myself craving the bahn mi wrap for a yummy light lunch....like right now. Also the free music at night is a great touch, especially because they pick really talented bands who are looking for more exposure.

Great food and great service! It was very busy one night when I was there, but their servers were able to take my order, remember it, and find me to give me my food! Brian even remembered my name and made a point to make sure I was well taken care of even though I was moving around the restaurant a lot. Great job everyone! You are appreciated!!

BEST VEGGIE BURGER IN ASHEVILLE! (Black bean based). I moved here about 2 years ago and discovered this little pub to be my favorite place for a drink and veggie burger. They have many TVs for sports or whatever youd like to watch as well as a fully stocked back. Also, FM has a great outdoor area for its guests! I highly recommend this place!

Im from out of town and asked our hotel where to get a good burger and since drinks. Without hesitation they said "you gotta go to Foggy Mountain". Im really glad we did - Great atmosphere, very cozy and down to earth, staff was attentive and super friendly and the food and drink was AWESOME! 100% RECOMMEND.

Not a bad place to stop in and get some grub and a beer. Nothing spectacular tho. They claim they have the best wings in Asheville - I wasnt that impressed but then again I have nothing else to base that on. Not sure if Id visit them again when Im in town, but then again I am an out-of-towner.

I have no idea how this place won best wings in Asheville. They were pretty bland even after I asked for extra sauce. Also the customer service was very lacking. My wife even thought maybe it was a private club and we were intruding. We were there for lunch on a Sunday. I wont go back.

Very accommodating to us even when our baby and toddler were screaming and hangry for a part of our visit! Burgers were good, nothing mind-blowing. The brat with Mac and cheese was fun and great! We ate inside but the patio looked cool from what we could tell!

With a dive-like feel I was surprised this hole in the wall turned out to be a brewery, but wound up pleased with the overall experience. The atmosphere was a nice change of pace, the service was excellent, and the beer was great.
