Just went here for breakfast with a group of 5 adults and a baby. It was an interesting experience to go to a breakfast spot and order before sitting down. I had second thoughts about eating here because it seemed like a lot of work. I am happy that I decided to give the system a try. I grabbed several menus for the table, the hostess gave me a pen and paper, and we all sat down at the table and wrote down our orders. Once everyone had ordered, we brought it up to the register and paid. It was a unique experience to order water for the table and set the table with napkins and silverware ourselves. The servers only bring your food out but they were very attentive after we got our food and made sure everyone was happy. Service was fast and food was delicious. The steak fajita wrap was exceptional. Ceasar Salad was large and fresh. I was told the skillet was really good - looked like it contained at least 6 eggs!

This is such an awesome little place! The food is really good, quick service, and clean. I was a little worried walking in here for the first time, thinking it may be dumpy, BUT they proved me wrong quickly. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and the order came out quick. The food tasted great! Just like a local places food should taste. I definitely will be coming back.

This is a great little restaurant. I stopped in for breakfast and had the best corned beef hash I have ever had in my life. The Philly steak sandwich is a favorite for the lunch crowd. My daughter had fun watching the freight trains go by through the front window as we ate. What a great addition to the dining scene in Mundelein.

Food was good. Small and old fashioned, but clean, too. Extensive menu. Staff came around to check on us/how things were Midway through meal - rare in this setting. Prices reasonable, breakfast selections available until late in the day, too. I will be back.

Its so hard to choose-- Caboose provides a great range in the menu. All of the egg sandwiches and benedict choices are awesome. The chicken bacon avocado pitatilla is an amazing wrap...
