We had read other reviews and they were all good and great. So we ordered $60.00 worth of food to sample across the board, so we could make sure we didnt hit something odd. The food was average to ok, but nothing stood out as yummy or great. The shrimp fried rice was dry, the palace fried rice had he same problem, and the duck was good but not very good or great. The general zoo chicken was very good and I would order it again, but I asked for it to be spicy and they said ok, but it was spicy. I dont know. Giving a review of bad food is not a wonderful experience, because for $60.00 worth of food we could have gone to P.F. Changes

I commute by this place everyday. I never noticed it. A friend told me about it, so a group of us went there for dinner. They have tea on the table, which I thought was very good. There are also fried noodles on the table. I started with an egg roll. It was homemade and really good. My main dish was orange chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly. And the coating was crispy. The orange sauce was excellent. I will be returning. Bicycling: Waukegan is not the best for riding. But, you can use a nearby side street to reach the North Branch Trail. There is no outdoor seating. I also did not see a place to lock the bicycles.

Been going to the Palace for 12+ years, mostly for take-out. The food is excellent, try their Egg Rolls, Mongolian Beef, Chop Suey, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Egg Foo Young. Ive never ordered anything here that wasnt outstanding. The staff is polite and friendly, and go out of their way to serve.

Sauces way too thick. Vegetables so over cooked to be unrecognizable. Chicken over-done and hard. Seasonings bland and not Chinese. Trying to find just what they do that is close to actual Chinese cooking. Egg foo Young wet, thin and tasteless. Nice people, though.

Very good Chinese-American style food. Generous portions. The recipes have subtle twists that make the food unique, but still close to what I except from a Chinese-American restaurant. Friendly, attentive service. A gem hidden in plain site on busy Waukegan Rd.

I love the Palace!! The employees are great and friendly. Food is Fabulous, Tasty and Fresh!! I live 2 hours from here but make it a habit to stop here for dinner when I have a chance. Highly recommended

Terrific Chinese food... Try the Hong Sue Chicken, Mongolian Beef and the Pot Stickers... The dine in service is fantastic, too. Its a family run business with authentic Chicago Chinese food.
