I like to go here to treat myself. It is really awesome raw vegan food! I like to order the fake steak burritos and an oatmeal cookie smoothie (both gluten-free). I ordered my 1 year old some guacamole. And they gave her a free brownie for her birthday! The ambiance is beautiful with green tables shaped like leaves. Complimentary filtered water. And an antique feel all around! A lot of people mention the price but I find it no more than a typical upscale restaurant. You get what you pay for. So, for my entree, the guacamole, and smoothie is was $40. Which is expensive and the portions are small however all the ingredients are non-gmo, prepared fresh everyday, and are gluten-free and lactose free. To me it is worth the money however I know what I am walking into. Sure I can go to Magos in Bolingbrook and get fresh guacamole for $8 and here it is $11, but I dont know if all the ingredients are organic at Magos? Again, you get what you pay for and I only go to treat myself. The staff is friendly volunteers and all the proceeds go to charities. For first time patrons I recommend the burritos or pizza. Great place for gluten-free or lactose-free options but not a good place for nut allergies.

Im not vegan by any standard, in fact, im a pretty "meat and potatoes" kind of person, but this place blew me away. Currently doing the whole 30 regimen, and this place had a soy free menu AND an agave free menu. For those who are concerned, all their menu is gluten free, has no added sugar (they use dates and agave), is all raw, and non processed. The staff was exceptionally patient and friendly, answering any questions we had with dilligence and sincerity. And finally the food! I NEVER thought I would walk into a vegan restaurant and walk out saying "that was really good, Im definitely going to go back soon", but this place has changed that opinion of mine. I got the "chili cheese fries" and they somehow were able to replicate the flavor very well! We also got the apple pie (which is a MUST if youre into dessert) I dare say its better than traditional apple pie. Lastly the presentation and effort put into the food is amazing. Will definitely be going back.

Table of 4 sat comfortably in a well lit and simple but classy decor atmosphere for dinner. This being our first time, the waitress explained the free sample plate and the preparation method for all their cold raw dishes. The tastes were so explosively full of delicious flavors. The inclusion of Organic flavor combined with the absence of GMOs and Gluten in the Pumpkin seed, Egg Salad, Marinara and Taco spreads served with corn flax chips was a great introduction to their menu. Deserts were to die for. I had the Chocolate Ginger Cheese Cake. The Almond pie and the turtles were a hit with the other guests. Wow! I am definitely going back. And this is in Lockport, IL. I would expect to see a place like this in San Francisco. Service was outstanding. A must go to place.

My first experience in raw vegan food. My group of four thought the decor and volunteers at the cafe were very nice; however, none of us liked our meal. The food was very overpriced and not enjoyable to our group. If you like raw vegan food this is your place -- my friends who are vegetarian recommended it and my guests wanted to try it. I gave it a shot, but I personally did not care for the food. Id rate this a half-star for me personally, but you might like it if youre into this style of food.

I must admit, I am an omnivore. The thought of raw vegan food kind of creeps me out. That being said I was plesently suprised by the food here. Everything tastes so fresh and it is good for a quality lunch that wont weigh you down. All of the workers are volunteers and it is a nonprofit. I love to stop in every now and again for some good healthy food that is a good pick me up. You really cant get better than this. The lasagna is very tasty as well as the tex mex bagel.

This place is absolutely amazing! I finally found somewhere that my daughter and I can dine at without compromising our all organic diet. The cook, manager, and server were all awesome. They were extremely inviting and accommodating. All of the food there is super delicious and creative....and meets my organic non gmo criteria. I am extremely satisfied and will return as often as I have extra cash to spend on quality food.

Great service and super friendly staff! Was going there for take out and they offered me a bunch of samples before I placed my order. Everything was delicious. I had the Nachos with taco meat, guacamole and salsa, loved it! Me and my company had turtle brownie and strawberry cheesecake for dessert, we had to save that for another day cause the nachos were very filling. Highly recommend this great restaurant!!

Really should advertise that its a RAW Vegan place. By the time we found out we had already ordered. Other then that. The food was ok but bleh. But just ok. My wife and kids would not touch it. Oh and I should mention. My family of 4 cost over $100 to eat and they didnt even do that. Portion. Size is ridiculous. Im sorry. Great idea for a cafe. But dont see it lasting..

The last two times Ive ordered from here my order was either wrong or not ready. Tonight I went in at 530 to order pizza (my boys were having pizza from next door) them Id be back at 630 to pick it up. At 630 they told me they got real busy and didnt make my order!!! There was one table of four sitting in the dining room. Well I guess Ill skip dinner tonight Thanks

The employees greeted me right as entered the door and were incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. The food we ordered was awesome, especially the ginger dressing on the house salad. We had the loaded burger, which we thought was full of flavor, the Thai curry noodles, again great sauce over cucumber noodles, and the nachos. Would definitely try this place again.

It was my 1st time trying vegan food. I have a buddy that is a vegan that convinced me to go with him. I was a little skeptical since nothing was cooked. It was way better then I thought possible. He got the supreme pizza, I got the local burrito. Everything I tried I really enjoyed. Price wasnt that bad for it being vegan. I would recommend for anyone.

Very delicious! I was doubtful at first about a menu entirely of gluten-free raw vegan food, but decided to dive in, and Im so glad I did. Ordered the sampler, and everything was very tasty. Especially liked the nachos and the Thai zucchini noodles. The food was artfully put together, just beautiful, and the staff was friendly, too.

As a vegetarian I am always looking for good vegetarian and vegan restaurants. This place offers raw vegan options packed with incredible flavors. I would recommend the vegan pizza and the smoothies they have delivered from next door. I only wish I could get some of their recipes to try out on my own.

The food was amazing fully raw with great flavor. I got the pizza and chocolate brownies my belly is so happy. Everything was delicious and staff was very friendly. There is so many options the worst part of it all is having to pick just one.
