Most over rated restaurant. This is the 3rd and last time i visit Walker Bros. I went on a Friday around 10:30am. I was sat immediately. The waitress came by in decent time. I didnt get any coffee for 10 minutes. The food then took 20 minutes. Keep in mind theyre not that busy. My omelette was a dry flat brown pillow with hard cheese in the middle. I went with my friend whose corned beef hash was barely cooked. My waitress was no where to be found. I had to walk to the server station and grabbed my own sauces and napkins. Some other customers asked me to take their order! I had to tell them I didnt work there and I was just grabbing my own condiments. Im usually not too upset about these things but if youre charging me that much for breakfast my expectations are a bit higher. My bill came to $23.57 without tip. Thats for a sausage omelette, hash browns and coffee with a side of pancakes. I think Walker Bros have gotten too complacent. They expect people to keep coming no matter what. I think wealthy people like the fact that the high prices drive away families who are on a budget. So if you dont want to sit with the IHOP or Dennys crowd and want mediocre/bad breakfast food and pay almost double for your food this is the place for you.

Went there before a performance at the Marriott Lincolnshire Theater across the street. My husband ordered a ham and cheese omelett. I ordered a simple sandwich. My husband opted for the toast instead of pancakes and requested hash browns to be added. His omelette was served alone and we waited at least 5 minutes before his toast, hash browns and my sandwich arrived at our table. When the bill arrived, we were charged $2.50 for two pieces of toast and $1.50 for the hash browns. When we questioned the extra charges, the server and the manager explained that the hash browns are usually $3.50 extra but they substituted the pancakes for the hash browns and charged us for the toast ala carte. Are you kidding me?? In the end, his omelette cost almost $16. Not much to write home about either..wont go back.

I have been going to Walker Bros for years, it used to be one of my favorite places. But since theyve gotten so busy, its gotten to the managements head that they dont need good customer service. Last time I went there, management based their seating arrangement on age. He tried segregating the kids from the seniors. We stood there with our small and well behaved child, while the manager was pulling much older adults in front of us, even though we had the same size party. When I asked him for an explanation, he said for our childs safety, its best if were not in the main dining room. Around 7 groups went ahead of us of the same size party. We decided to leave. I will never go there again.

Wow. Where to start. Im a foodie from SF and dine all over the country. Tried the egg bene with crab twice. First time thought is was barely ok cuz the hollandaise sauce was so thin it completely disappeared but for a trace on the plate. Second time I did a full breakfast test. OJ tasted watered down. Bene was the same except the eggs were totally hard! The hash browns with sautéed onion and shrooms was mush on the inside. Way too much oil! Shrooms were basically raw. Zagat must b kidding. A line to get in AND out. Service was great once in. They remade everything but sauce and hash browns are a fail. Maybe the pancakes r good?

This place sucks! Food is bland as hell, corned beef hash is clearly out of a can. After about 30 min, server brought us 1 of 4 orders, then 5 min later he brought the rest by slamming the plates down and giving us an attitude. I ordered my eggs over medium, he brought me basted and insisted they were over medium. Clearly doesnt know food. When he returned with my eggs (cooked properly), he slammed the plate down again, and was just very rude to all of us. They also have the lamest potato pancakes Ive ever had. Paper thin and no flavor. Nobody else liked their food either. We wont be back.

Excellent breakfast options. The pancakes are nice and so is their coffee. They have a huge selection of egg specialities and their portions for most foods are big. My only complaint is that I asked for thin and crispy pancakes and the server suggested the Swedish pancakes. They were thin and crispy but had a strong overtone flavor of eggs which was a complete turnoff for my pancake. She should have mentioned this would have been the case with them.

If it wasnt for the German pancake, we would not return here. We consistently get disappointing and borderline offensive service. The front door staff dont greet you upon arrival, you have to fight to get their attention to be shown to a table. Then, when at your table, you have to flag down your own waiter just to get service. It makes absolutely no sense how in a service industry this place can remain so highly rated with such poor staff.

Manager doesnt care if a customer is having a problem. Asking the manager about the beer flavoured pancakes when paying and being told thats their specialty and they hear questions about it all the time. Of its all the time, the the servers need to know that, the manager needs to walk is rear out and tell a customer, and why is it not on the menu that the buttermilk" pancakes are beercakes.

Food was really good. The apple pancake was good. We wanted ice cream on our big apple pancake. We got a small bowl with half a scoop for 2 dollars not worth it. Asked for water multiple times. We had another couple with us and asked for seperate checks. We received five checks for the four if us. Figure that out. The food is really good but needs a smarter waiter to deliver.

The food is good omelettes or excellent. But the way I was treated and isolated and set off into a section where no one was that. For some reason the maitre d had a negative attitude towards me. Put the waiters or excellent and the food I must admit is some of the best Ive had since Ive been here Ill go back but I dont or Im not going to let them treat me like they did last time

Had the western omelette, wife had the French toast with a side of bacon. Amazing all the way around. I would say it is a must try. The omelettes are baked. Nice touch. Baked to perfection. Wonderful all the way to the end. My wife gets French toast everywhere, this is the best she has had. Same for the omelette. If you love breakfast food this place was made for you.

Went here for breakfast with my work team. Food was average at best. Ordered a "breakfast sandwich" consisting of egg, bacon, fried tomato, cheese. Server didnt get several of the orders right, didnt bring my fruit cocktail, was obsequious, but not very good. Coffee was watery, insipid. 2 bucks worth of food for twelve bucks. Never again, thanks.

In town for a surprise birthday. Grabbed breakfast both days here. You might have to wait a little bit for a table but the food is great and the service is good. they kept my coffee cup full and brought my mom a birthday treat. Bill might be a few bucks more than your typical greasy spoon but its worth it.
