Had a party here and it was a bad experience . 3 servers for 90 people . They forgot to serve coffee , kids didnt all get their plates, food was slow to come out . At one point my family was serving cake because it took 1 person to cut cake and 1 person to add ice cream, leaving 1 server for 90 people. I wanted the ice cream I paid extra for in its own bowl, that never happened . Food was okay, meat wasnt as tender as I was promised it would be . The restaurant owner was helping the kitchen And the wife wouldnt address the poor service no matter how many times I brought it up to her at the time of the event. It was a very embarrassing situation for me to host a party like this. I was told they do parties all the time and they can handle it . Unfortunately , I was lied to .

The food here is very tasty and satisfying. My wife and I came here for the first time and we were very pleasantly surprised. The linguine we ordered was cooked al dente. You could tell that the bread was made from scratch inside the restaurant. The risotto was tasty and left me wanting more. The decor is a bit too much. There is a statue near the entrance that actually frightened me a little. But aside from that, they have a piano in the dining room and windows with a nice view of the nearby street. The decorations and room color make it feel like home. Everything considered, the overall experience of being here and eating was very nice and I would definitely recommend it.

I was visiting a friend in the NW suburbs 3/1/2012 and she suggested La Zingara for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stuffed mushroom appetizer and both of our entres (Pasta trio and Giambatta). The ambiance and service were very nice too. The meal was decently priced but seemed more like a deal for the quality experience we received!

What a great find. Brought my whole family, and everyones meal was great. Jezel is amazing. She treated us wonderfully. Everything was fresh, homemade, delicious. After dinner, we were given the most wonderful desert. Yum. I have been to all of the best restaurants on the city, and this place is better.

My family and I had a blast here for my brothers graduation. All the pastas are to die for! You can tell its a family owned restaurant because of the amount of prep and care they put into all the dishes.

Nice local restaurant with a casual vibe, good food and good service. Mussels need a little more seasoning. All the other food was great for the 4 of us.
