Stopped here to have a combo lunch dinner at 3 pm. Only 3 tables of people while we were there but it was mid afternoon on a 90 degree Plus day. The decor is awesome in this historic Lemont building. Daily specials are posted on the wall. We were greeted and seated immediately. Pierogies were awesome as was my Reuben! Coffee and dessert of chocolate pound cake and kolacski were delicious. Very good selection of authentic European foods made by authentic European staff. One of the employees wasback in Poland on vacation. We really enjoyed this place. Check out the menu. I believe its all homemade.

This is very authentic Polish/German food with generous portions and accommodating service. The tables can get a bit crowded with plates and bowls since theres so much food that gets served. The meals are definitely not for the American casual, but if you have the palate for these kind of dishes youll find more than enough to your liking. The homemade table bread is perfect and flaky, and desserts included are a variety of delicious pastries. This is overall an excellent family restaurant.

Weve been going here for 20 years. My wife loves the duck. It is always tender and very tasty. I love the Sauerbraten. Occasionally I order the Lithuanian Plate which is also great. Where else can you get bread, soup and a desert along with an old world meal? Most places dont even serve vegetables any more. This is our favorite restaurant.

Ok place for lunch, overpriced for the amount of food and quality that you get though. Plates are simple, taste good but presentation could be improved. No WiFi and terrible phone reception so dont plan to get any work done. Selection is limited and some of the food didnt taste so fresh. Wont be coming back again.

The food here is outstanding, authentic old world flavors. It has a cute atmosphere. Service is great, everyone is friendly and they do everything they can to make you feel welcome. Menu items are very reasonably priced and they have a variety of specials everyday. I would highly recommend giving it a try.

The Polish/Central European food is delicious. The quantities are ample and have an old world quality. The owners and staff are friendly and the quiet music lends to a very pleasant atmosphere. The prices are reasonable and fair and includes homemade soup and a dessert. I highly recommend this place.

One of the best Eastern European restaurants Ive ever been to. Absolutely authentic, great service. As a Detroiter, I was very impressed with the quality of food and service (and Im not saying that because Im Polish).I highly recommend the duck and tripe soup, just like grandma used to make!

With all the good reviews, I wonder what were missing. Everything was super bland. The "beef noodle" soup had no flavor and looked just like chicken broth. Sauerkraut and cabbage sides probably had the most flavor. Service was good. Prices were a little much.

I had lunch here with a group back in February. Service was okay and food was alright. The staff gave us a hassle when we requested separate checks so be prepared to bring cash. I might return in the future but not in a rush to go back anytime soon.

Excellent food...the German plate and goulash were excellent, and the freshly made bread was great. The servers went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The decor is old-world and displayed with care.
