Ive been to almost every sushi place in Illinois and I have never experienced anything like this before. Not only was the food disappointing, but the service as well. Ill start with the sushi. So much layering of the rice and barely any fish in it. Whatever sushi you order, they give you more rice rather than what is in the inside. When you order a sushi with tempura flakes and/or crunch, theres barely any of it. I was flabbergasted by the service. There was only two servers on a Saturday night. One of them didnt speak any English and when I would ask for napkins she would look at me all confused and when I asked for plates she said, "oh okay" very quietly and rolled her eyes. I work at a restauraunt. Youre supposed to say, "Sure no problem Ill get that for you" with enthusiasm! My waiter was on the phone at the front desk for over 20 minutes. Waiters are supposed to have eyes on their tables, it is not their job to talk on the phone for that long. The phone comes last. So many people left because they werent getting greeted. The waiters would greet other tables that came in way after the guests who were already seated way before. Since I work at a restaurant, I always over tip when I eat out. This was my first time that I never tipped. So many people were complaining that night and they had a right. I was there since 6pm and was served at 8:30 and they had the audacity to not give any discounts. Service was so bad I would walk up to get my own plates and napkins. -Christine Hanna, 18 years old

The food and service at this place has gotten really bad. It was pretty good 6 months ago, but my last two times ordering were a disaster. The food was an hour late and a part of the order was missing. 2 large rolls were jammed into one one small carry-out container which turned into one mushy rice dish by the time it arrived. The warm food ordered was cold, and the noodles were burnt. Everything in the delivery bag was drenched in soy sauce. I called to request the dish that was not delivered, but for 45 minutes i got the voicemail box that is full. After an hour someone picked up, and i was told "the manager/owner will be in on thursday, cause they only work that one day". Should have just gotten carryout from the restaurant closer to Rand.

I cant even express how bad it was.. everything is very dirty.. they use reusable chopsticks that they dont properly wash.. our server didnt speak English.. it till 20 min to place an order.. even tho place was completely empty weve waited more than 50 min.. our server had no experience she didnt give us plates.. she didnt give us water .. horrible ..... When we fianally tried our sushi they were the worst sushi weve ever tried ... When we tried to pay the bill server made so many mistakes that we had to pull out our calculator and do the math for them .. screw this place hope they will go out of business.

This was formally Yummy Sushi, and it has been a great improvement since the new owner and restaurant came in. Amazing Sushi!!!! The all you can eat is generously priced (lowest anywhere actually) and the sushi itself is some of the best Ive had! For an all-you-can-eat menu, the variety, quality and taste is hands down the best by a long shot!!! I highly reccommend you come out and try it. I drive from the downtown for this place!
